It has been talked about to death for months đ

He hasn't been around for awhile, so if he wants to talk Miller trade, it beats you and I discussing who is a better 5th round pick.đ |

A LOT of PP points - concerning?
But there's no doubt he's skilled AF, shifty, great passer, fast, good vision. His hands in tight remind me of Vrbata.
He potentially makes Garland, Boeser, Miller (not quite) expendable
Should be interesting - Brooks_Light
15 out of 20 goals were even strength I believe |

So I can't spark a conversation on what JT Miller might actually be worth? I put up a couple of examples of 1st being traded at the deadline of 2021, and JT is way better than any player listed. I got called a Homer by KY man with a quick throwout trade idea, and it just spured me to ask what is he worth? Once again has to be more than what we gave up, and by quite a bit IMO. - carsonagenic
I donât think Miller is worth Sillinger aloneâŠa high first and a D prospect as well? Might need to temper expectations |

It will be interesting to see how he does.
I got a middle six scorer at about a .5 ppg. Is my guess. |

Donny you are out of your element here...
How would he be worth less then what we paid? He has done everything asked of a true Alpha and put up the points to match. 99 points and L1 center has to be worth more than just a good, not great prospect. |

Top 10 scorers on a cheap contract arenât worth much if their Canucks. On other teams, sky is the limit! |

A league exec weighs in
We used a phone-a-friend to help us out a bit here.
âGetting a potential top pairing defenceman is the key to getting a fair return,â one anonymous league executive â not affiliated with the Canucks â told CanucksArmy. âA mid-round first could be a bust, and Chytil is an okay piece, but not great. Schneider, Chytil and a 1st is probably whatâs necessary and I think adding a second-round pick is required. Miller is one of the top players in the game. It has to be a haul, and even if it is, the Canucks still may lose the trade.â

Wasn't this from before the tdl?
If it was, I would suggest the return wouldn't be quite as high now, as the team acquiring only gets 1 run with him and not the 2 that would have been available back then. |

Article was written very late May.
I don't think the price would change because he still has a year left. Team acquiring might be doing so as to extend him.
Now the pieces can change to get the deal done. |

Sillinger is a good player, but not knowing where the Canucks would have finished and picking with the picks for acquiring Miller, we don't really know what the cost was.
I had projected the Canucks somewhere in the 10-12 range, I believe.
With the pick in that range, we very well could have had any of Perfetti, Lundell or Guhle, all good players/prospects.
Any of those 3 above and Sillinger or Gienther and this team would be well on their way with the rebuild. |

Just depends on where the 1st is and level of prospects pretty much. Level of roster player.
I think Canucks should take best deal not closets to needs. |

Interesting.
I really can't see any team giving up a up and coming young RHD that is going to be on the top 2 pairings |

I agree.
Other than what was established in last blog, the only position not in need is LHD, so best deal also fills the needs situation, as well.. |

99 point centers might be more rare than a Top 4 rhd. |

Not trying to burst the bubble but he's 26 and last season was his first scoring at a ppg clip, and that was only the regular season. If he can carve out a spot top nine great. All he cost was money. Keep the bar low and hopefully get rewarded |
