I understand it’s just silly talk, but I just don’t participate in trade talk with guys who have NMCs it’s just a waste of time
- jimbro83

I just looked and was shocked to see that at no point in the term of the contract does Panarin's NMC become a modified one. That's a little less palatable. Not that I'm looking to trade him, but you never know what the future holds.

My one silly question but if you think about it not as silly as it may seem.

How much do you put into the no player making 10 million or more has ever played in the SCF. This is not the reason why I would consider it.

Would you ever consider trading Panarin? If so what would the haul be back? We would be dealing from a position of strength LW, would open the door for Laf to be the #2 LW. Who eventually we will need to pay if he has another growth season next year.

Like I said silly talk, but I'd do it for a guy like Larkin or another #1 center making less than 8 million

He cant be traded unless he wants to, NMC.

He really didnt have a good playoff run but he gets a pass since everyone needs time to adjust. If we havent won a cup and he he still isnt producing in years 6 and 7 well maybe the Rangers approach him to se if he is open to a trade.

I think the mock draft that's on the site right now is all that is needed, Sam Woo took Cooley

Exactly they can’t trade him so they should get him actual linemates that can play on his talent level.

He might be filling in, but he’s not a center. I don’t think Copp is a good fit for how much he’s going to want. He’s a very good 3rd liner that’s going to get 2nd line money that we can’t afford. I got u on the Chytil train, now get on the Dach train with me.
- nyrangers9479

I can’t get on the Dach train.

I’m on the Paul, Roy or Poehling train

Here’s someone bold to go after, Elias Petterson. If they can squeeze him in this year, he’s at 7.3, they should be ok after that..and be able to give an extension in a couple years. Squeezing him in this year is difficult tho. But if I’m trading a poop ton of assets thats the guy I’d go get

Because of the salary Cap, that makes things a little tricky and difficult.

not getting any indication from this article that Hawks are actually looking to trade Dach

Doesn’t fit the “get tougher” mold the Rangers are going for. Dude gets bullied out on the ice.

Nope, they're trading us him and Debrincat while retaining 50% on Debrincat because they're nice guys.

Some of the trade proposals or guys being mentioned to bring in will never ever be on this team and we all know it yet the names keep popping up. At least it's a short summer.

Most of the time the trade proposal over values our player, take what we dont want and give us Mcdavid but some proposals are thought out and will work for both teams.

And why is Vancouver dealing him after just getting a Russian winger that could be on his line?

Easiest thing to do this summer is wait. Sign or trade for a cheaper #3 center, roll with Chytil as the 2C…if he’s not the answer then we get a bigger fish next year and still have the #3 we signed. We need depth at center it’s the one spot they must fill with someone that isn’t a prospect like Dach. Someone established in the NHL that can play a defensive role and chip in 15-20 goals, and preferably someone who can win more faceoffs than he loses too

Idk Jan lol. Why would they trade Miller or Horvat? It’s the same thing. They’re all going to be in that 7 million ball park. Maybe they don’t trade any of them if they can afford them all

Just touched base with Kaapo Kakko's agent Andy Scott and he confirmed that "negotiations have not commenced yet" with the Rangers. So any reports of a deal are just rumors. #NYR #NoQuitInNY #HockeyTwitter #NHL

So because they haven't started negotiations with a player they have complete control over he's gone? They are probably trying to wait and see what they can do with their UFA's and players that need to move out first (Nemeth).

I swear these writers just love to turn nothing into some type of hot take news. The guy can barely even form coherent sentences in some of his posts.

I’ll be pretty stunned if KK is in a different uniform next year. We’ve waited 3 years for his explosion may aswell wait some more. Definitely don’t want to see him do it somewhere else
