I agree RR should probably be playing ahead of Provorov, who's been worse than an AHL player on the PP - Tomahawk
I’m blown away. Ristolainen regardless of how he collected the points, has a career high in points than both Ellis and Provorov, who both share the same career high… |

Yeah, but Torts is T-bone and Trotz is filet mignon. I don’t see any ribeyes in the entire NHL coaching ranks today.

I’ll tell ya what, that Bellamare is still a solid fourth line player. I’d take him over our current situation any day. |

That stat is BS, Randy Jones isn’t touching 20 points let alone 3 seasons in a row. Moving forward I’d like to see Cam York featured as the PP1 Dman. - ClaudeFather
He would if he was getting 250 minutes plus on the PP.
and I agree about York. |

There was some speculation among this group that TK and Provy will not do well under Torts. Who can say? They might thrive with more accountability and a strong coach and leadership group. Provy hasn't seemed to respond well to criticism in public, but who knows.
I think the C and the leadership group will be key. Adding a few pieces along the way is a must.
Is it telling that TK and Provy were NOT mentioned as candidates for the C?
Big trade coming. - cdearth23
It's possible there could be conflict between Tortorella and any player, but Tortorella's approach in not wanting info on any player's past behavior, personality etc is a good one. He wants to find out and make assessments based on his own interactions with them, rather than what Chuck might say or the media reports or what transpired in the room last year.
IMO, just from a hockey standpoint, I don't Tortorella will be eager to get rid of Provorov, as he possesses a ton of the tools Torts covets in his players. He's a workhorse. Ivan's workouts and fitness level can't be questioned. He's very durable, can skate, team leader in blocked shots, has the ability to be physical, has offensive ability. He's a complete player. If I'm Tort's, I'm doing everything possible to grow his game, not get rid of him.

What's Cassidy, filet mignon? Or does he not count because of short time of availability |

Well of course, why not give him a chance. Just remember though. The same mantra about accountability and a lot of the same stuff was said when they hired Vigneault.

Provy is still their best d man. He hasn’t played as well in the last year or so, but I’d be Leary of moving on from him. I’m sure Torts does want them to keep as many of their best players as possible.

While you’re not wrong and to be fair, Cassidy was better suited for a team built as a contender. Appears to be the case for Trotz as well. |

Probably from their point of view but a good coach is a good coach.

I’m still surprised Cassidy got canned. I honestly think Bruins are subtly tanking for next draft class. Lots of offseason surgery and recovery for some key guys + Bergeron may retire. |

Same here. If Bergy retires, they're in a tough spot. |
