Kadri's goal in OT should've been waived off the Avs given a penalty for two many men on the ice. - MJL
Mistakes happen. I'm glad it's not a reviewable play.

Would love to see Frosty skating and playing with the heart and soul of Dave Poulin!

Folks were pretty happy about Frost and Ratcliff, too.

Hard to feel sorry for Tampa when they've been on the receiving end of so many generous calls/non-calls over the past few seasons.
If not for two BS high stick calls, they wouldn't have made it out of the 1st-round. - Tomahawk
I think that's a little different. Those calls can be missed. Kadri is across the ice and has the puck over the blueline before the player he replaced is off the ice. Not much gray area there.

No, there are lazy changes every game that go uncalled - ClaudeFather
Do you know why lazy changes are let go every game? It's within the rules. There is leeway given if the player coming on doesn't play the puck. In this case. Kadri is across the ice and has the puck and has the opening to attack to the net because he cheated on the change. Newhook is still on the ice when Kadri plays the puck.

Go and look at the replays, there is technically 6 lightning player on the ice for a couple seconds as well. It could have been called but it was a crappy change that wasn’t. No excuses. |

Ok, I will admit it, I am feeling a lot better about the Torts hire than I did last week. What really impacted my opinion of Torts was his interview with Jason Myrtetus this week. As a coach myself, I could really relate to what Torts was talking about. He seems to really love the Flyers and seems to be genuinely excited about this opportunity, I really hope it works out for him and the Flyers. |

JFC its insane how the fanbase has turned on Provorov. - MBFlyerfan
The general fanbase is finally coming around to the fact that he's not a franchise dman. There have been people who have been saying the same for years. |

My only criticism of Torts was for his whining about everything. I love the fact that he was the coach involved in some of the best line brawls in recent history. |

Let me ask you something. Do you want Torts to succeed? If your answer is no, why? |

Again, according to the rules, there is some leeway given if the player coming on does not play the puck. Once the player plays the puck, that is no longer given. This wasn't something that was close. It was blatant because Kadri came on so early that he was across the ice and had beaten the defense while the player he was replacing was still on the ice. That's a blatant too many men on the ice. It's not close.

You're a coach yourself? What systems do you employ? What systems does Tortorella play and what do you like about it?

I think that's been pretty obvious for a while now. That being said, I think he can improve and play better and still be a solid top pairing defender.

100% agree. The refs were not calling anything in the 3rd or OT, and that is not right! I don't mind letting go minor infractions, but they were not calling what I considered obvious infractions and once I saw what happened on that OT goal, its just another black-eye for the league. Jon Cooper stated it best after the game:
