Keep telling yourself that.

Bottom line, KK can/should/will/might still grow.

If he doesn't, he's not worth that money and this whole thing was a mistake.

You don't think $4.8 Million per is worth that? He's the 195th highest paid player in the league heading into this offseason.

Oh man.... trip down memory lane on its way tonight. Downloading teenage mutant ninja turtles: shredders revenge. Looks as good as turtles in time on the super. Don't know who's more pumped, me or the little guy.

Which isn't terrible. Like I said he scored at the 6th highest pace among Canes forwards this year.

If he had averaged 16 minutes per night instead of 12 that's a 47 point pace.

Jordan Staal and his $6 million per for 36 points is a way bigger problem.

KK could still get it together and make this a steal.
I will never forget trading Leclair I used to joke with my dad that if he scored as many goals as often as he fell on his ass then he'd be amazing and didn't think much of the trade.
We all know how that turned out.......

I don't think you need to worry about that, but we had that discussion before.

If he does put up these numbers and that icetime, yeah, he's worth it.

Results of last season though, not yet.

And for what it's worth, I believe in KK. I was on the "sign him for 6 years at 4.5M" boat before the whole offersheet happened.

Jets will trade him before that, Habs should not bite on that, just wait for UFA status, not the time to unload picks and prospects for a pending UFA with no guarantees he will sign

He just needs the opportunity to try. Trocheck's going to be gone, so we'll see if KK can fill that role the way they hope he can.

Yep. Unless you can get him for a steep discount, just wait.

This. Same thing with Debrincat. Let somebody else overpay for a rental. I mean, it could makes sense if you are a contender, but not mtl.

Of course.

He's never been shy about wanting to be in Montreal.

I'm pretty sure we can sign him as a UFA next summer if it makes sense.

i would think somewhere around $5.5/6ish per.

55~ point guy who can kill penalties and plays like an bumhole. Somebody will pay a premium for that.
