Elliotte Friedman during intermission reported that Pierre-Luc Dubois has told the Jets his plan as of now is to get to unrestricted free agency in summer 2024 rather than sign a long-term extension. Dubois is currently a pending RFA with arbitration rights. #GoJetsGo - Symba007

Welcome home P-L Dubois.
You were meant to be a Habs from the start. - Scabeh
No way they should get involved in that
They should shed salary right now, and Dubois is already making 5M$ |

Keep telling yourself that.
Bottom line, KK can/should/will/might still grow.
If he doesn't, he's not worth that money and this whole thing was a mistake. - Scabeh

I was always a big FF fan, but starting from that one, their dev teams have been smoking some strong poop. |

A year from now, our financial situation may be very different.
IF he does want to sign here as a UFA, you have at least have to consider it.
He's a young, big, talented, local player. Can't just turn away and say pass before seeing what can be done.
I would not trade for him or his rights though, that'd be silly at this point. |

Oh man.... trip down memory lane on its way tonight. Downloading teenage mutant ninja turtles: shredders revenge. Looks as good as turtles in time on the super. Don't know who's more pumped, me or the little guy. - Habshistory
haven't played it yet but apparently it's really good. it's very different from the SNES though because there are a lot of different moves to learn, just a heads up. |

Of course.
He's never been shy about wanting to be in Montreal.
I'm pretty sure we can sign him as a UFA next summer if it makes sense. - Scabeh
Dubois? was he saying that because it's the right thing to say, or does he legitimately want to play for the habs..? |

all depends on the draft to be honest, if they draft Wright this year then get lucky and draft Fantilli next year, no need for Duwood |

he hates Winterpeg and he wants to get paid in a decent place to live and play hockey, MTL is just one option as usual.
he still has 2 seasons under contract |

MTL to be used as a way to get a bigger contract elsewhere.
If Wright is the real deal, the Habs don't need him.

yeah. sometimes you can tell when the player is being honest about it, which I find is the case with Letang, even if I highly doubt he's going to land in MTL.
I know hockey is a business and it's 100% his right to do so, but I wonder how Dubois' teammates feel about him saying he's going to test the market, not necessarily a "bonding moment" there lol. |

isn't his dad an assistant coach with their farm team?
https://www.nhl.com/jets/...keyoperations/eric-dubois - Symba007
Yes. Hence why he hates him. The media said he NEEDED to go to the Jets to be with his Dad...so him NEEDING to leave a year later must be the same thing.

What assets would you give for him, in a rebuild that is? And if Wright is any good, you already have Suzuki and Wright with not much on the wings... |
