After deep consideration and time to fully analyze, I have decided this is the best part of the 2021/22 NHL season:

“Congrats to Auston Matthews, it’s nice to see the Leafs winning something in June.”

NHL/Broadcaster immediately cuts feed.

I have been ambivalent about Kenan Thompson's mediocre career up to this point, but this, I will never forget.

Like, right at the punchline.

Was the end of the show, but I think they cut early...

Just made it more glorious.

you'd think if he was hired to host the show they were expecting him to make jokes, if not they should just let Gary go at it then, although that would be kind of a joke in itself.

unless it isn't top-10 protected, which it probably is.

Hello everyone!

The FLA pick we got for Chiarot isn't lottery protected.

I don't think they imagined it would be an issue. However their cap situation for next season is looking pretty rough. I wouldn't be surprised if they showed serious regression. Not enough to miss the playoffs, but enough to potentially make their pick a higher one than this season's.

yeah I haven't looked at it too closely but from I've heard it'll be basically impossible for them to keep all their key players, unless they find some sort of cap juggling miracle or something. same goes for the Avs, which is why they really want to win this year.

Yeah, but Florida also has the dubious distinction of having traded away their next 3 1st rounders... I feel like this really was Florida's do or die year and they didn't even put up a fight.

damn, yeah that could definitely hurt them in the long run. and to think they had such a great regular season but still weren't getting full attendances...

animals are just fascinating. my aunt has a mountain house up in PA and i always look for the bears but i never see them. kickbro saw one once. he bent the birdfeeder pole down and ate a handful. and i could watch deer do deer things all day. where are the moose i always hear about up there? i bet they're pretty interesting too.

We have a little over 500 acres here on the farm, with about 100 acres of that being woodland around the fields. We have a black bear with 2 cubs here this spring. They've been good about keeping a distance and not bothering the animals. There's another one about 2 km away who's starting to roam into people's yards. He needs a good scare so as to not come so close. They really are awesome... just don't get between them and the cubs!

Also for comparison,

Florida has 17/23 rosters spots filled with 3 mil in cap space
Colorado has 14/23 roster spots filled with 25 mil in cap space

Having Quenneville resign in disgrace probably blindsided them a bit. Brunette didn't really WANT to be a head coach according to FLA fans.

Yeah, there is no way they could have predicted their coach resigning in disgrace for something that happened on another team, 10 years earlier. The timing was really bad for them as well, as this was supposed to be their year.

When I was young I had a cousin who's cousin on the other side had a farm and a lot of cows. My uncle brought me there a lot, and they always sent me to feed the calves. I hated it.

At first you think they are cute...but they are always scared. You think everything is fine and then you get kicked in the knee or balls.

- stinger67

Were they beef or dairy?
Usually they're quiet.... but tend to head bunt more because it's they're natural movement/reaction when sucking. But you're right about getting kicked.... those little hooves hurt like hell.

If it doesn't smarten up someone will.
Buddy of mine said a couple of fire crackers sent there way will spoke them enough that they typically won't come back. I'd try it first to see. Like I said, we're lucky. Mama and her cubs stroll by a couple hundred feet away and never look sideways. This is her second set. She had 2 a few years back as well.
