I remember Canuck fans thinking the Canucks were contenders after losing to Vegas in the thingy.

Think we were at Benning squared at that point. It was too much Benning, or maybe it’s odd numbers only. Perhaps one more Benning would have done the trick.

I remember Canuck fans saying the loss to the Kings in 2012 was a one off…
- 1970vintage

The team was obviously still very good in 2012 having won the coveted President’s Trophy, although they were starting to get up in age. They just ran into one of the greatest goaltending performances in modern day NHL history. The Kings were built for the playoffs as well, jeez they only lost four games the entire run to winning their first Cup.

Game two against the Kings the Canucks had 48 shots on Quick and they lost 4-2. Game three they had 41 shots to LA’s 20 and they got shutout 1-0. Anyway, after the 2012/13 season when they again lost in the first round to SJ is when they should’ve started a rebuild.

Here we are ten years later and the organization still hasn’t started a proper rebuild #badowners.

Friedman made a comment about PLD testing free agency in 2024. Winnipeg will need to start a rebuild soon, so I could see them Moving Scieffle, he has 2 years remaining at just over 6 million.
Definitely gonna muddy the waters on moving Miller.

Wheeler and PLD likely move first....

Saw this…so many teams could do this but a fun exercise nonetheless.

“If you could travel back in time and change one draft pick that was made by your favorite sports team, which pick would you change and what player would you select instead?”

This was a good answer…

“1989, #Canucks select Nicklas Lidstrom instead of Jason Herter with the 8th overall pick”

If you go to 1997-2001 and literally pick the very next guy selected after each one of the Canes' first picks in those drafts, instead of getting

Nikos Tselios, Jeff Heerema, Dave Tanabe, Tomas Kurka and Igor Knyazev

You get

Scott Hannan, Alex Tanguay, Barret Jackman, Nick Schultz and R.J. Umberger

I wonder if this might be the most impactful for that Boston final: 2006, instead of Grabner, they take Lucic.

Perhaps. Also. If they had a second round pick, instead of wasting them for nothing! They could’ve selected Lucic in round two….but no

OR, and humor me a little, but what if they didn’t trade him to Florida for Ballard…

Worse.

The Canucks had the NYI 2nd round pick that year which ended up being 38oa and traded it away to Anaheim for Keith Carney who played 18 games and had 2 points and Juha Alen never even came over to play in NA.

no I’m laying by our pool with an iPad. Not a keyboard. When you type fast it autocorrect’s “the” and “they” on occasion. I’m sure even Reuby could figure it out though. Wasn’t that difficult of a read.

So, what you're trying to say is that you will be more understanding of people's spelling mistakes and less likely to immediately pounce on them in the future?

You should start a sentence with a capital.
