Tim Hortons –

Overpriced frozen soups and chili.

ALL baked goods are premade and frozen then shipped and thawed in ovens at the store.

The muffins with goo in them come prefilled.

The lettuce comes vac packed in boxes and is half brown most of the time.

The grilled chicken strips just look like they shouldn’t exist in a normal world.”

And I was so looking forward to going here when I come in July ….

In this case, they just didn't see it. For either team.

Ignoring penalties for game management is (frank)ed, as is blatantly favouring one team over the other, and it needs to be fixed. No argument there.

- GreatGigInTheSky

I'm fine if they didn't see it. 94 the ref came out and said they didn't see it. At least they admitted to something.

Back in the day, I had a class trip to the Tim Hortons near me (yeah, my school was that lame). They used to have a machine that pumped the jelly into the doughnuts and we all got to do it.

Jelly filled doughnuts are (frank)ing gross tough, so I didn't eat it.

Fresh Timbits are (frank)ing amazing, though.

I do like their TV commercials though:

Culture man … and ya know it’s Tim Horton’s…pretty legendary spot…

I guess the same reason everybody wants to go to Disneyland and yet nobody from here would set foot in that cesspool…

My dad is a baker and used to work at a tims back in the day when they actually baked. Good times were had in those bakeries as a kid. It's poop now.

It's bottom barrel of missed calls, and I don't give a care for who has the puck, Tampa literally had more guys on the ice.

If you call one, you call both. You miss one, there's nothing wrong with missing both.

- GreatGigInTheSky

But you can't call both because one is legal - you can have players changing when you don't have the puck if they are within 5 feet of the bench and are not involved in the play. You simply can't call a penalty on that just because you hate Tampa.

I think maybe my problem is that I want the rules to be the rules and I want us as hockey fans to expect the rules to be applied unilaterally regardless of how much we hate a team or don't.

I remember a decade ago when Talbot was in net for Edmonton and he was out of his crease cutting down the angle to make a save when Corey Perry (on Anaheim at the time) cut through the middle of the ice and just clear ran over Talbot and Anaheim scored on the shot into the emptied net. It was ruled upon review that it wasn't goaltender interference because Talbot wasn't in his crease.

That's never been the rule. There is literally no case where you can just arbitrarily run over the goalie because he's in your way, especially when the puck isn't even in the vicinity. But hockey fans love to hate the Oilers, and it was never as controversial as it should have been. To this day that play pisses me off to no end.

Yeah, Tim's is garbage. It's like Arby's, or the Olive Garden or Red Lobster. It's corporate chain crap. But Tim's is everywhere so if you're a caffeine addict such as myself you end up there. But it's lame that it's this national institution. It's the same company that owns Burger King ffs. You're better off getting coffee at McDonald's.

I remember when Tim's used to have pie, and bake their donuts in the back. I remember I used to ride my dinosaur there and read the newspaper and use the payphone.

Its every franchise now, stay away. Went to the Keg a few years back got bleu cheese on my steak and that was mixed with mayo. $45 and they can't afford to put a real chunk of bleu cheese.

I remember the tiny chinese donut shop next to my high school used to have a counter, one table, x-men vs. street fighter and bubble bobble arcade boxes, and they allowed smoking.

Those donuts were better than Tim Horton's is now

You haven't eaten there lately I can tell. I know you know good food. I only eat there because I get treated and my mom and brother like it. But internally I'm judging it as I gorge.

Even though I quit smoking and it was awful, those arcade games with ash trays on them were dope. Playing video games and smoking is awesome. The donuts get partially dart-flavoured and yeah it is better than Tim's.

Krispy Kreme destroys Tim's all day long, as does McDonald's.

Yeah I just refuse to eat out most of the time now. It's highly unfulfilling. I live in Scarborough and it's difficult to find good, small restaurants here. Even some of the smaller ones around here I don't like that much.
