I'm taking my fiancee there tomorrow night for a date night. I haven't been in 20 years. - TheMussel
Well there goes that marriage, or is that the plan.
Notice the lack of question mark.
Again. |

Its every franchise now, stay away. Went to the Keg a few years back got bleu cheese on my steak and that was mixed with mayo. $45 and they can't afford to put a real chunk of bleu cheese.
And (frank) do I hate mayo. - bobbyisno1
Chain franchise midrange restaurants are my pet peeve.
It's one thing if it's a cheapy fast food place. It is what it is. It's not pretending to be anything else.
But places that pretend they are an actual restaurant and serve up awful garbage like that and put real owner-operator kitchens out of business grind my gears. All of the typical places you see around big box stores, I hate that poop.

Stamkos Hopping on the ice insanely early to pressure the puck in Colorado's end.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THE REFS MISSED THAT!!!!
It only directly led to Colorado throwing the puck up ice and scoring the OT winner. If they called Tampa for too many men, the game might've still been happening. |

If it sucks, there's a good chance it'll be the most disappointing part of the night, which is good - TheMussel
There's absolutely no chance whatsoever that it will be good, and if it's not the most disappointing part that is really, really bad news. Like it would have to be like oh man the meal was bad but the worst was when my Richard fell off and a dog ate it. And you will feel like that dog yourself after the meal but at least the dog didn't pay through the nose to eat Richard that fell on the floor.

My dad is a baker and used to work at a tims back in the day when they actually baked. Good times were had in those bakeries as a kid. It's poop now. - Aaron_85
Yeah, it was pretty cool, just a waste of a school trip.
And I don't give a care for dirty bean water, so I don't go there anyways. |

That's your efficiency experts at play. "Most people can't tell the difference . . . ", but if you cut enough "Most people" corners, more people will tell the difference and it hurts you.
I don't know if Red Lobster and Olive Garden and Pickle Barrel and any of those chains ever produced decent food - because I was much younger and less able to afford restaurants in the 80s (but I come from a family that thought Ponderosa was a treat so I'm likely a poor judge!) - but they had a decent name once upon a long ago. How many efficiency changes does it take before the taste and reputation just take a beating and it doesn't matter what you do. You'll never recover. The old adage of taking a long time to build a good reputation, a short time to lose it, and so on.
Makes me think of those electronic companies like GoldStar . . . you knew they were crap and even when they realized they were going to die because of the corners they'd cut and tried to change - no one would buy it - but they had to rebrand as LG to try and get some respect back.

Even though I quit smoking and it was awful, those arcade games with ash trays on them were dope. Playing video games and smoking is awesome. The donuts get partially dart-flavoured and yeah it is better than Tim's.
Krispy Kreme destroys Tim's all day long, as does McDonald's. - Zezel
There's a Krispy Kreme up Kingston and Lawrence. Drive by at like, 7 or 8 in the morning and there's a lineup around the corner.
Man, no doughnut is worth lining up like that. Except maybe the Tiny Toms at the Ex as you're leaving to grab the GO home. |

Yeah I just refuse to eat out most of the time now. It's highly unfulfilling. I live in Scarborough and it's difficult to find good, small restaurants here. Even some of the smaller ones around here I don't like that much. - Aaron_85

If there was a good reason for me to take her last name, I would consider it.
After all I didn't exchange a sheep for her hand in marriage and I don't keep her locked up in a cell in my basement or make her leave the house with a chaperone. |

we're both of non-canadian descent and both last names are a curse when you need to spell it out on the phone.
The eternal practical joke I might be willing to play on ourselves is to hyphenate it though. It would be hilarious |
