The video clip of kucherov having a child like temper tantrum at the lightning bench seemed to bw because he broke his stick and heads to the bench. The equipment manager doesn’t have one ready, so he chucks his gloves at him and quits.
Sounds like POS move. |

Well considering Kucherov IS a POS, I find this hardly surprising.

You forgot about Makar, Byram, Manson, Toews.
You know…. Actually good defense. 🤷🏼♂️ - .HOHO.
Leafs D has not been a problem in the playoffs the last couple of years.
This is a lazy narrative, IMHO. Makar was awesome the rest were good. And Makar was part of my #1 on the list.
Rielly needs to be awesome too. |

They need a goalie, till they get one that can steal a game they won't make it far. |

The Avs just won with their starter having a .902 sv percentage.
Plenty of ways to win. |

Once again, Sakic was willing to pay the price for the right player.
Avalanche are gonna contend for a while. - Scabeh
Well we'll see about that. Theyve got some pay raises that theyll have to contend with first. |

I think MTL’s Anderson would be a good fit on your second line! If Nylander is available I’d be interested to know what piece would make a Nylander/Anderson trade possible! Remember it has to be win/win! 😀 |

Its painfully obvious to anyone who isnt biased towards hating Dubas that Kadri matured over the years of getting traded.
He (frank)ed up multiple times being stupid, the trade gave him a kick in the ass and his career is better because of it.
Good for him, people change. - Santo_44
Stop saying I "hate" Dubas, please.
I don't hate anyone. Kyle seems like a pleasant man.
I just don't think he's doing a very good job here. |

I think that is a more accurate interpretation of the comment.
Still does not change the fact that Kadri could have been the difference maker in getting the Leafs past Tampa in the first round.
Trading Kadri was a mistake. Teams need physicality in the playoffs.
But every team makes deals and signs contracts that they will come to regret.
Fools will take this morning to say they are glad the Leafs traded Kadri or trading Kadri was the right thing to do. Right answer for today should be nothing more than "congratulations to Nazim Kadri on winning the Stanley Cup." - spatso

Your willingness to proclaim your opinion is right 100% of the time and everyone else is wrong & then backhand insult anyone who has a differing opinion than you even when your opinion is the minority is what's really impressive.

Hey Cush, that works both ways. Maybe you just don't see it..
Plus, my opinion may be "wrong" around here, but I have a feeling a lot of people feel the Kadri trade was poope. This place isn't exactly a bastion of objectivity. |

I chuckle that you seem to know what the Leafs need in order to win or not win yes. It would be different if you said it differently, but you said it as if the Leafs need it to win.
You said until the leafs get a goalie that can steal games they wont win, meanwhile the Avs just won with a .902 sv percentage.
I just get a chuckle out of people who think they know that there is an answer for some sort of key that unlocks the ability to win.
Plenty of ways to win, just make the team better and it gives you the best percentage shot to win. |

It was just last year that Kadri got an 8 game suspension in the playoffs for hitting Justin Faulk in the head - and those 8 games proved to be the remainder of the playoffs.
3 times in the past 5 years, he has been suspended for what turned out to be the remainder of the playoffs.
The Avs didn't have a particularly physical route to the cup with Nashville, St. Louis and Edmonton in their conference. St. Louis certainly had some physicality - with Mikkola and Barbashev probably leading the way - but even a guy like Parayko wasn't overly physical. I don't know if there was much to boil Naz's blood this playoff and make him do something stupid. Maybe he has accepted that there are other people who can handle it when it happens, too . . . I can't say obviously.
I'm glad he won for his sake, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to pronounce him a changed person because of one uneventful playoff that had limited adversity. It's like my friend who is claiming that Evander Kane is now a decent human being because he had 5 uneventful months in Edmonton. - Monkeypunk
I like this and agree with it the more I think about Kadri and the post game quip. Last night I laughed but then as I thought about it more it made me wonder if Kadri really has matured to the point many (me for sure) thought he had/has? I mean why bother making a comment like that at all? Do so with your buds, your family, your teammates but to do so on TV right after winning a cup would (if I was a GM) make me really wonder if he's past doing stupid stuff at stupid times entirely and matured to the point many hoped he would.
Facts are facts, he WAS a playoff risk for not only the Leafs but even the AV's until this one year. He's been a risk and got suspended much more than not so as they say walk the talk.
He's done the talking now, time to show he really has the ability to play on the edge but not cross it - maybe being hurt prevented him from another suspension this playoff, or maybe it was just him being smarter and more mature.
I'm happy for him but he had a chance to take the high road and instead yanked the wheel into the ditch a bit - hard not to do but if he really wants to change the public image of himself it was a lost opportunity in my eyes.
I miss his tenacity and grit but not the bonehead 'red mist' plays he would make when mad in Toronto and I was fine with the trade when it was made - they couldn't afford a 5M 3rd line centre due to the other big contracts. |

Pffft .902, now do last nights game. Or how about do the 5 elimination games that the Leafs were in the last 2 years. |

It works both ways? Not the degree you take it.
You come here and poop on the opinons of anyone who disagrees with you multiple times daily and throw out generic insults - today's being "sugarcoating".
Your feeling is your feeling, like your opinion you are entitled to it but there is no need to come here and be insulting to everyone and anyone who disagrees with it which is your MO.
State your opinion, be polite and respectful, and agree to disagree and walk away instead of making the snide, smart azz, insulting comment when people disagree with you and you might be surprised at how much more people will give the same back to you.
