The whole offseason plan sounds lame.

Boston is aging fast, Florida is going to have to shed players, Tampa just went through three straight grueling seasons and have multiple players who might have surgery and miss part of next season (this is speculation but I’d expect it)

The time to pounce is now.

Why can’t the GM come out and say the goal is to put the best possible team on the ice to compete for the postseason?

If Anderson wants to play, he's coming back. Everyone better just accept that and move on and pick something else to b!tch about (I'm not happy about it either. I'd rather they move on from him). But there's nothing anyone can do about it.

they wouldn't expect him to play much, and has said as much. but how do you carry 3 goalies? how do you expect UPL to carry the load for him? it's such a shoddy bet. this is something I don't understand.

It sets the tone for the offseason in a bad way

They had a story on their drive to increase season tickets this summer and honestly to come out of the gate with this is a buzz kill

Although it's still very early in the offseason.

Sabres notoriously wait until camp/ preseason to make any significant announcements/ (captaincy) or extensions.

People dont want to spend money in June for something in october IMO.

This is the first year the Sabres set up a 10 month payment plan and your sth choice needs to be made in the spring.

Even VO's biggest fans don't want to pay him on a long term deal. They have reservations too.

consistent 20+ goal scorer. .7ppg. PP specialist. Chemistry with the Swedes is off the charts.

We have the cap for the next few seasons.

Can always trade him down the road.

Embrace the darkness. My personal expectation is set at Subban and Greiss. If they do better than that I'll be blown away
