UPL has to pass thru waivers, yes? - Powerslave
No, not until the following year.

So is there a scenario where he plays in Rochester again, and they go with two vets? |

Try again
Could Anderson take a job as assistant goalie coach
And when needed sign and pass thru waivers
Let it be known he retires if taken

PK Subban essentially has a job for life at ESPN, as long as he doesn't do something stupid/scandalous. He's way closer to the end of his career than not. If he signs in Buffalo, it's because he sees and likes the 45-minute commute by air to the Worldwide Leader's NYC studios. There aren't too many teams lining up for his services anymore. - buffalofan19
I would love a pk to buffalo signing.
Keep his brother malcolm as a tweener (roch/buf) injury callup.
Starting goalie ( probably Anderson) or ufa
Upl
Subban
When someone gets obviously injured, sign or trade for a goalie. Especially if were winning. |

I think 5x5 is a good deal for him.

Good post
Although it's still very early in the offseason.
Sabres notoriously wait until camp/ preseason to make any significant announcements/ (captaincy) or extensions.
People dont want to spend money in June for something in october IMO.
This is the first year the Sabres set up a 10 month payment plan and your sth choice needs to be made in the spring. - Boss34
The pressing question is if he files for arb. If he does, pressure is on. If not, then we're stuck in negotiations until close to training camp, when all the unsigned RFAs play a gem of chicken, hoping other signings improve their leverage.

I think after the Sabres purged everyone who said they hated life, the bar was reset to: "well at least this this team doesn't ooze existential dread. Isn't that refreshing?" |

The whole offseason plan sounds lame.
Boston is aging fast, Florida is going to have to shed players, Tampa just went through three straight grueling seasons and have multiple players who might have surgery and miss part of next season (this is speculation but I’d expect it)
The time to pounce is now.
Why can’t the GM come out and say the goal is to put the best possible team on the ice to compete for the postseason?
Instead we get to argue about Craig freaking Anderson - sbroads24
I think they are afraid to add vets to the locker room as they want to continue on the trajectory they are on. We may agree or disagree with that but I get their fear given some of the personalities that they've had the last few years.

I think that means you have reservations on a long term deal.
I'd guess the team has reservations going to a 4th year.

if he was in their long term plans
I would think they, meaning the sabres, would have wanted to get it worked out before the draft and ufa begins
instead we get leaked stories he may not be in their plans - homiedclown
Homie , it's a game between the Sabres and olo/agent
Why not take the summer or at least until the draft, to see what teams are offering.
Olo already said he understands the long process, been there before.
Sign him when its ticket sales season.....
Bill's start 3-0...
That's the time to announce 5.5 x 5 years |

Seriously get over it dude. Just like you can't get over that a man's marriage failed and he married a hot waitress.
You haven't explicitly stated as much but we all know you hope she dies. And there's no way to deny it.
Idk man. You say ban-worthy stuff almost daily and truth be told, it's a runaway tie between you and Fitz for daily groaning on this blog for legitimately posting the same God damn thing over and over ad nauseum.
Go tend to your fish, and stop hijacking the blog every damn day, thanks. - BeadyEyedDouche

I love that people conveniently forget that. Last season was all about purging the cancer. Until i see it happen in the coming season, Terry has never been cheap with the Sabres.
Everyone has the right to go apeshlt, however, if we enter the season with AHL goaltending. |

He’d be fun to watch, but does this team have a spot for him? Wouldn’t he block a younger player? And above all, would he be proud to put the sweater on? |

Exactly, it's been 36 hours since the Stanley cup was handed out and the Sabres have made ZERO moves.
Probably time to consider firing KA

There is zero reasons not to add an impact player up front and rd for a 1 or 2 year deal
And a goalie or 2
None of these moves would impact the kids

Even VO's biggest fans don't want to pay him on a long term deal. They have reservations too. - Lunaion
🙋♂️
I'd pay goaloffson 5 years @ 5.5ish
I'm not worried about him being a consistent goal scorer in the nhl or his injuries.
Just worried about too many soft swedes and the playoffs. Selke larry swede and olo are not playoff built IMO.
So a team like Florida who had toughness, can add soft and skilled players. But then the nhl playoffs happen, and it's a different game than the regular season..... |

Kevin Adams interview on WGR550 did not give me hope that the Sabres would improve their Goaltender situation in the offseason. Disappointed after listening to that interview. |
