UPL got hurt in January with Buffalo and in the playoffs for Roch. Don't think he missed time otherwise.

I think they made the decision not to burn a year on Quinn from the start.

Also think they just got a little too focused on the AHL playoffs.

I didn't agree with their push for the AHL playoffs cause I thought it was such a long shot but I think as far as they're concerned it worked out pretty well.

sent to rochester Feb 9th when healthy

and got dinged up at the end of the AHL season

so he was good to go for the last 10 weeks of the season and left in rochester

I really think they were worried about his durability, and that extended NHL action might have been an issue coming off the first injury.

Shatty from the Ducks would be a low cost /low risk acquisition for a year or two as a mentor for Powers and the boys. At 33 last season and having played 82 games at 20:00+ ATOI , he is far from done.
He should be reasonably in expensive from the Ducks as they reportedly are going full rebuild.
