I'd be surprised. Again, going to see who comes in here. If it's a battle between Craig and 6k Injuries come training camp, I'll come in here and swim in the sewer with you guys. - TheSabresTaco
you just said 6k is the third goalie
which is it?

6k
anderson
tokarski
biship
that's the order - homiedclown
maybe they can convince Pekka Rinne out of retirement too... lets get the oldest ever goaltending tandem |

Well all we can do is wait and see, Adams has a plan or under directive to proceed in what he is doing. Do I understand it, NO but that's why I b!tch on a message board. |

It isn't September yet. Let's see what happens.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the opening night tandem Anderson/Tokarski last year? If it's even Anderson/UPL, that's an upgrade.
Again, I hope he isn't done. - Powerslave
All of this would be a disaster. If he doesn't get a guy who can play 50 games, it'll be such a failure. I'm just willing to give him until mid July before I lose my (frank)ing mind. |

people will wish we had dell instead of anderson at some point next season - homiedclown
we might need dell when Anderson and UPL are both on LTIR and we have toks and houser in the NHL
EDIT: and Malcolm he will get injured 2 periods into his first game too |

I would rather have a retired miller, biron or hasek over anderson
I guess people forgot how slow he was to get up last season, only going to get slower |

If he’s the backup that’s what he’s playing regardless of who they bring in. They are not bringing in a goalie who’s going to play 60+.
The avg starter last year was 40-50 games. |

what makes you think he is going to get a 50 game guy
he literally said the other day he was waiting on word to get anderson back
and today he hinted he is waiting on word to get tokarski back
continuity will be the theme of this off season |

Most teams don't plan on losing 5 goalies in a season. Part of that is not signing 80 year old men and having Mr. Glass in Rochester. Having a reliable starter with a short injury history will help this greatly. |

Now you're being ridiculous. They had average goaltending and a mediocre bottom 6 over the last 3 months of the season and they were still a good team. Swap out some of the scrubs for Quinn, Paterka and Power.... and you think we are going backwards?
Again, I must have missed where the season is starting tomorrow. - Slump Buster
Because like Krebs, there’s no way they have massive struggles as rookies, right?
There’s absolutely a chance we take a step back of they don’t add serious talent at goalie and forward |

if 2 of your 40 nhl contracts are going to be anderson and tokarski, the theme is continuity with guys that want to be here |

They barely let Tokarski play and rode Craig into the ground in the final stretch of the season. They don't want him (frank)ing starting, I promise you. |

Who listened to the PC? Did he mention bringing in another NHL caliber goalie? |

Why is anyone shocked that Anderson is back? Like I said, we are pretty much going to have the same team as last year. |

Zero chance, the Sabres are different. None of the prospects will struggle.
It’s not like we are on season 4-6 of some of the guys who we were super excited about who are still questionable of what they will be. |

The optics of this team between last offseason and this one is night and day. I can tell you that. Veterans wanted nothing to do with this dumpster fire. Now? I bet there's a few guys who want to get in on the ground floor. - TheSabresTaco

What I can tell you is that they're acutely aware that development is not a straight line up. Which is why they are careful about who they're adding and not simply going to sign 29 year old ufas to major deals.
I advocate for early to mid 20 year old additions. I want Cat. And I hope he uses a first on a player who's at the very least competing for an NHL job this coming season. |

In regards to that what did peek my interest was “if we pick at 9” and “picking as high as possible” |

You can pretty much bank on one of Krebs, Peterka or Quinn falling well short of expectations.
You can also pretty much bank on a rookie wall at some point for Power
You can bank on an injury to a 41 yo goalie
Whatever. |
