On Ostlund, who's apparently been undersold publicly:

15. Vancouver Canucks: Noah Ostlund, C, Djurgarden Jr. (SWEDEN-JR.)

As we’ve gotten closer to the draft, one name I’ve consistently heard league sources say I need to move much higher up in my mocks is Ostlund, who many in the league feel will be a top 20 pick if not higher. He would add a lot of speed, skill and playmaking to the Canucks, who need depth at center.

quinn will be the number 1 RW when Tuch gets moved down IMO
- homiedclown

Quinn isn’t ready for that yet though
We’ve all seen what happens when we rush the kids
And it generally doesn’t work out

See: Grigorenko, Girgensons, etc etc etc

I’ve seen him mocked to us at 28

After the first couple picks, seems like this draft could go in a million different directions

Needed a new 4-iron. Now that I know my fit, you can buy "Like New" clubs pretty much any year's model for half the price of new. I unnecessarily bought a new 3-wood too.

I probably will never buy brand new again.

No, but that doesn’t mean Quinn or ready to play on the top line in the NHL either

Not like Quinn ripped it up in the playoffs

No need to rush the kid

Vanek started on the 4th line for us
And then the 3rd line the next year

4. Seattle Kraken: Shane Wright, C, Kingston (OHL)

I see you racing to the comments section over Wright getting to No. 4. Should Slafkovsky go first, though, I think it opens up a lot of possibilities in the first few picks. I could see Wright going in any of those first few spots between 1-4, and if he starts to slide, I think it ends at Seattle. If Cooley is available here I would also view that as a strong possibility. If the draft goes more chalk, then the two top defensemen and Gauthier would likely be the considerations here.

I just can't imagine it.

Pronman?
I’m not sure what you’re specifically talking about

But over the past month or so, I’ve probably seen about 50 or so guys that could go in the 1st round

Some of these guys will drop, even though they’re well liked

if they grab those 3 or 4 guys needed

yes

I think standing pat and grabbing blah guys that want to be here if anything sets the team back

you can probably get a middle RD
a bottom D
a top 6 guy
a decent goalie

probably 3 of those 4 spots can be filled via free agents on short term deals utilizing cap space and keeping the pipeline full

probably need to trade for a goalie that moves the needle

the tone of this offseason is anything but that message so far and from everything we hear from gerbe, adams, 89, expect a blah summer

I think you are doing this core a disservice if your bringing out anderson for 35 games a year in net

bringing back a pysyk for a bottom pair
and assuming joker and sameulsson is fine for top 2 pair RD

competition is good
quality competition is better

Heard he completely turned off some teams with his interview process he has a cocky attitude which some people can take the wrong way.

He has that Tom Brady Like arrogance ( which I'm a fan of though)

If Wright doesn’t go number one you do what it takes to get to number two and take him

I am torn between keeping the 4 iron in the bag or switching it for a 5 wood

I keep 4 wedges in the back and a hybrid

I think it would be a lot
Better chance to get #2 at a reasonable cost before the draft

Idk that we’d have what Jersey would want though
Tage maybe?

all anderson and tokarski does to this roster is prevent us from competing for a playoff spot in the next season

anyone who thinks anderson was average let alone good has blinders on

- homiedclown

Amen clown.... I will give AARP this, he did make key saves when he needed to, other than that, the team scored way more from March to the end of the season. It covered up a horrible GAA and Save Percentage

Interesting. River absolutely loves the kid, as he's known him for a long time
