Exactly what I drew from him. Every team should be salivating. |

I’d be thrilled with the Habs taking Slafkovsky over him.
I think Slafkovsky will be a good hockey player, but Wright and Suzuki would be a decent 1-2 punch and be better for them |

How many organizations would you really take ahead of ours right now? 5?
Nobody said they had an unbelievable season. What was said was that - all things considered - we had a pretty amazing run over the last few months of the season and that is a LOT to feel great about. - Slump Buster
5? seriously?
Are we just assuming we’re gonna be this perennial powerhouse like at least 5-10 teams have been over the past decade?

I am torn between keeping the 4 iron in the bag or switching it for a 5 wood
I keep 4 wedges in the back and a hybrid - homiedclown
Apex 21 4 hybrid is the way to go, expensive as all hell but I can hit it 200-220
I don't even carry a 5 iron anymore, and Yes 4 wedges for me too.

There is no way you'd take most of these team's organizations (including minor leagues and prospects) over ours. The Caps? Bruins? Aging vets, empty farm systems. Still living off of the glory of year's past.
I think this is the list of organizations that I would definitely take over ours.
- Colorado
- Tampa
- Florida
- Carolina
- Rangers
There is another tier of teams that are "maybes" (e.g. I'd have to think on it)
- Toronto
- Jersey
- Edmonton
- Vancouver
- Calgary

Again, I don't know what one has to do with another. I love where our organization is at right now. Do I know if we are going to be a powerhouse? Of course not. I do know that there are a lot of teams that were great over the last 10 years that are aging out - I'd take this org over those teams going forward.

Ready-Set-Go Tell me who fits the Narrative?
1-Holtby
2-DeSmith - Buff36
Varlamov. Still not too old, only 1 year left. It allows us to find out what we have with UPL.

How would Edmonton, who has two of the top 4 players in the league, including the bonafide #1 player not be a definite yes? |

You are correct - I am multi-tasking right now and missed them. I'd put them in the second category. They have 2 of the top 10 players on the planet but they are a bit of a mess after that (mostly because of bad contracts). |

I'd give up a 3rd not to third for the luxury of only having him for a year. He is young enough that if he played well you could extend him.

One team just made the WCF and is a “bit of a mess”
We’re drafting 9th overall and had an “unbelievable season”
Do you see where this is sort of an insane conversation? |

For the third time - I said that *all things considered* we had a good season. I don't think we could have hoped for it to have been better than it was (especially given the fact that half of this board had us finishing in last place).
So let me get this straight. This whole exercise is about projecting organizations out over the next few years. So because a team made it to the WCF I should automatically assume that they are more desirable than a team that didn't? Is it that easy?
Edmonton had been getting steamrolled for years and finally rose up this year to make some noise in the playoffs. They have two of the best players in the game and they still got steamrolled by Colorado. There is no shame in that, of course. The problem is that their roster is a mess and not easily fixable. Like so many other teams they are guaranteed to be good because of their stars but the lack of secondary scoring (and a very questionable D) is going to continue to kill them. They need multiple D and a bottom 6. |

They won a playoff series two years ago.
Won two playoff series this season
McDavid has played in 37 playoff games so far.

Ok yes I’ll take a guarantee to be good over what the Sabres have and will have over the next 3-4 years anyday.
I mean this is crazy. We legit don’t have an NHL goaltender, have a solid 2nd line as our first line with absolutely no prospects that project as star forwards and we’re somehow this envy worthy franchise right now? In what world?
Power, Dahlin, Samuelsson are a crazy good young trio of D men.
After that it’s not great. None of Quinn, Peterka or Krebs project as PPG stars.
The Sabres have the ammo to go get a star. Hopefully they do |

No, you don’t have the “RIGHT” to anything that goes on here
You may CHOOSE to b!tch, but that isn’t you’re RIGHT
I don’t think u know what a “right” is
But regardless,
even if these moves don’t inspire you that we’ll bring in another goalie- we just don’t know what’s gonna happen
And acting like the sky is falling before free agency even starts is just ridiculous
Let’s just see what happens
No one here wants an Anderson/UPL tandem in the fall, but it’s a long summer & the offseason hasn’t really even started yet - jdfitz77
Actually the 1st amendment gives them the right to give opinions on here. Merica
