Lol.... never played more than 65 games. Never scored more than 35 points. He's a nothing player who is absolutely invisible three games out of four. Did his name get mentioned once in Edmonton's playoff run? Oh yeah, he played a lot of his season on a line with Conner McDavid. I wonder if that boosted his pathetic numbers? This guy is a first class stiff. The only thing he has in his favor is he's 25, so I guess he's prime stiff for the next 5 seasons. Whoopie!
We have our share of stiffs already who are younger named Krebs, Cozens, and Mittelstadt. Don't see the point of going for another stiff who we didn't draft. Let's work on turning our own goalless wonders into players. - lacaprup

I'm still back reading and maybe this was said but from what I read it's probably a 4th or 5th to get his rights - Leninthebuff
A 4th or 5th to get the rights to who? Mikheyev? |

Let's have some fun! What would be a suitable offer?
1-Cat/Murphy going for the combo pack.
2-Lawson Crouse
3- Mikheyev
Money
1-Manson
2- Lyubushkin
3- Nichushkin - Buff36
Mikheyev is a UFA. Why isn't he under the money section?

Not saying they're going to be stiffs going forward, but they're invisible most nights. Those three are on the hot seat, so to speak, more than any other players to start the season. |

The McDavid line was better with Jesse on it then when he wasn’t.
I’m not jumping down the analytics hole again though with you. - Pegullaville
Yeah, I know, expected goals win more games than actual goals. |

If you believe that, then one of them along with one of the later Sabres 1st round picks should've been traded for Fiala? |

Might be one of the funnest drafts to watch in awhile. Chance with the players that could be moved for some trades throughout the 1st rnd |

Of the three, Mitts has impressed me when he's 100%, but that has been so rare in his career that he still has to prove he can play a season with men.
Krebs is less than impressive most nights. Hopefully he's 10lbs heavier this year. it would help.
Cozens had a great Worlds in the weakest elite international roster you'll ever see. He has the makings of a tough NHLer, but I'd call last year a C at best for him. He needs to bury chances. |

Suitable for Buffalo or suitable for both? Since I've had no coffee and not enough time to put some real energy into it, I'll do suitable for Buffalo only. Sorry to any opposing fans who are really (frank)ing desperate to slap my post with 10 laughing emojis. (frank) you.
1. Well apparently 3 first round picks and a grade A prospect doesn't cut it. I don't think they ultimately get that, I think they get a very high 1st and a Quinn equivalent. Or of similar value. I'd send Quinn, Johnson and 16 for Cat. Add in 28 for Murphy.
2. Crouse - I'm not super high on him, but if I were putting an offer together, I'd use 41 and Biro. He's in Sam Reinhart territory now in age/contractually and is a lesser player.
3. As noted you already realized Mikheyev is a UFA. 4 years, 3.8M
4. I wouldn't make an offer for Lyubushkin or Manson, but if I had to, I'd offer 1/850k and 4/4 for them, respectively.
5. Nichushkin .... 5 years, 6M. Guy's a (frank)ing gamer. |

So if one does not register a point on a goal, that means he did not influence play that leads to a goal ?

Nope, but context is everything. You're way of thinking leads to Rasmus Asplund getting 3 Selke votes even though he never faced the top forwards in the NHL. The one, and I mean 1 game, I recall his line playing top forwards Huberdeau and Bakov had a field day on him. |

Spot on w Mitts.
I don't think Krebs is a player that's going to "wow" you. He'll make some sick passes that conjure up memories of Adam Oates, but he's more of a Reinhart, in my eyes at least, where he's going to do the right things, get his points, be responsible defensively, but he'll never bring you out of your seat.
I'd be more worried if Cozens wasn't getting chances. He's going to be a fan favorite.

There are very few "finishers" on that roster from last season.
With 3 picks in the 1st round, Adams has a chance to add that element |
