Sabres have interest again in Andrew Copp if the price stays in there range. - SABRES 89
He seems like the classic bottom 6 guy that someone will massively overpay in the hopes that he is more than what he is because he looked good on a good team in the playoffs.

Have to trade out Kilorn as well.
They also need to find a 3LhD |

If he's looking for 6 a year it's a no. Pretty much going top have the same team as last year but if a player like Copp comes along and the price fits, you never know. - SABRES 89
4 @ $5.75m...for 35 - 40 pts seems like an over pay. |

He’s a second line C/LW.
If he’s on the third line, you have a darn good forward group |

Could be, usually they like to bring guys up for some games the season or two before they intend to turn the D spot over.
But, Cap issues are significant. |

Someone will give Copp term and AAV, so I doubt it’s something we’ll have to worry about regardless.

Every time I think about the forward ranks for the Sabres and consider what upgrades I want, I land in the same spot when considering what I'm s here already and coming up ...
More questions than answers and it all starts at the top with Skinner - Tage -Olofsson/Tuch...
- is Tage a real 1C, do I see him successfully out battling the likes of MacKinnon, McDavid, Point, Matthew's, Zibby, Aho, Burgeron, et all. It remains to be seen.
- we know Skinner can pop 30 - 40 G's...but do it consistently? It remains to be seen.
- is Olo or Tuch a 1RW. I don't think so.
I really believe the could be an ideal 2nd line.
And then the Questions begin about what are the rest of the guys?
-Do we have any suitable Line 1 players? Quinn, Peterka, Cozens?, Krebs?
-who's our go to 3rd line that can closeout games?
Hence why I walk away with the thought they really do need another year to get a much better idea. |

I think the only chance we put up numbers that are on pace with other first liners is if dahlin and our plus minus leader, power drive the offense |

Copp would be interesting, good, but maybe a little redundant in a few years. I'll wait here for someone to punch me. |

kinda wish the Sabres woulda done this. Cut two years off that contract and it'd be great. - TheSabresTaco
Sabres have a lot of needs, and old LHD is not one of them though |

Good read, enjoyed it.
Put together a good draft this year, that could be 4 solid drafts in 5 years. |

I enjoyed the article as well. If fatty, skinny, and Varaďa can put it together this coming season the draft classes look nice (not that skinny was one of our picks). Hitting on a 2nd rounder like Samuelsson is a habit good organizations have. If Peterka and Quinn have good rookie seasons it'll be time to really respect what the Sabres have done in scouting, development and analysis. We certainly yell enough about thier inability to sign college kids; we have to give credit where it is due too. |

There should be some really good players at 9 and 16. I am interested in seeing if 28 is in play. Sabres aren't making 11 picks and Pilut terminating his contract makes for a extra asset. Couple teams without 1st have already stated they want back in. |

Id like to see the Sabres make their first four picks.
Though if KA spun a late 1st/early 2nd for something, that would represent somewhat of a departure for him. |
