Based on how modern day defense is played combined with the style Meatballs has the defense playing and what Adams seem to think about how the defense should play, we might need to retire the old way of thinking that a defenseman with strong offensive tendencies needs a stay at home defenseman as the best partner.

It may turn out the Sabres playing him injured for weeks saved them a ton of money. Until we have proof Quinn and Peterka can score in the NHL getting rid of Vic when we have no reason to is a fool's game. The guy can score goals in the NHL on a line with always hurt Mitts and Selke Larry. That shouldn't be taken lightly. And, for Christ sake, the guy worked up from a 7th round pick. That deserves respect from the organization he did that with.
