Pronman put out a new mock today based on "what he's heard." He has Slaf going 1 and then the Devils taking Jiricek at 2.

He says, "If the Habs take Wright, I think for the Devils it's a simple scenario and they take Slafkovsky. If Slafkovsky goes No. 1, it opens up possibilities. League sources seem somewhat skeptical they will take Wright, or atleast they don't view this as the likeliest scenario. The most common scenario proposed to me for New Jersey with Slafkosvky going first is the Devils taking one of the two defenseman in Jiricek or Nemec, or trading the pick. Jiricek is the more common name I've heard attached to the Devils between the two defenseman."

I just can't see either dman going top 3

Not saying they will be bad but haven't heard that they should be in top 3 and that they aren't as strong d prospects compared to recent drafts, not that they will be bad but not exceptional and maybe not top pair dmen

It's always been forwards top 3 and if the devil's are going for one see if they can trade down a couple spots and pick up more assets

Can't see them not selecting wright even though we have Hughes and Nico

Perhaps this is Fitz's way of kicking around trading down because a defenseman is really where they want to go. Could be part of a package to acquire a winger in there as well.

I know oloffson from buffalo is slow and apparently had a wrist injury last season but he seems to know how to score when he plays and has a hell of a wrist shot so maybe can work something out with buffalo

9+olof+ a 2nd or a prospect if the devil's are still looking to stay in top 10 and hope one of the D drop
