That would be great. Id much prefer a small trade for a center and sign Vatrano and Motte and go from there

They have to ride Chytil and Laf with second line minutes, they really built some chemistry as we saw.

- Slimtj100

I don’t believe the Dubious rumors. Think there is a good chance Chytil gets a chance. Though they still need to find another center

Y do we need to take up money with Vatrano? Dubois is the exact kind of player you would love and he fits our needs. I believe Cuylle or Othmann will be on the team to start the season, why add another winger to a multi year deal when we have those 2 in the pipeline and are already stacked on the wings? You win in the playoffs with depth down the middle.

Brooks thinks Dubois would cost us Chytil+, and if that’s the case I’d stay away also. I don’t know how to do the armchair GM thing, but TJ, would this work cap wise? Kakko Jones++ and just toss in Nemeth to get rid of his contract, (we’ll figure out a way to get rid of him).

Kreider Zib Goodrow
Panarin PLD Kravtsov
Laf Chytil Cuylle
Blais Rydahl Reaves

Miller Trouba
Lindgren Fox
Robertson Schneider
B Smith (1 million)

Backup goalie for 1 million also.

There is no way they play Laf on the third line and Goodrow on that top line. Laf and Kakko (if here) need top 6 minutes all year

I would actually love Kreider on the 3rd line, I just don’t think it’s going to happen.

They’ll either move Laf or Panarin to the right on the top line imo.

You're correct. Krieder will become a PP specialist, and on the 1st PK unit. 3rd line winger is right, don't know how long it take for that to happen.

If Chytil needs to be included in a deal for PLD, do it. As a matter of fact, move Kakko as well, bring a western hockey league power forward type.

The top 6 is to soft, not that they don't play hard tthey do, and it's probably enough to do well in the regular season, but it won't cut it, if a cup is the goal. Thier window is not as open as some think.

If it's just cannon fodder it's too bad.

Fact is, they better find a suitable center for Panarin, and a winger who helps create some space for him. He's not there .now.

Don’t know how accurate it is but some saying rangers are expected to resign Tyler Motte too
- TPC

Below is the full quote from the NY Post Rangers mailbag. Mollie Walker says they will try and sign in, not that it is guaranteed he will be back.
Who is the most likely unrestricted free agent to stay? Ryan Strome? Andrew Copp? Tyler Motte? Frank Vatrano? Justin Braun?
From what I’ve gathered, it’s looking like the Rangers will try to sign Motte. The numbers would have to work out for Strome or Copp to stay, and that’s growing less and less likely by the day.

Well the fact is if they got Dubois that would be the perfect center for Panarin but the cap space is just not the there no matter how you slice it

Agree on Chytil. Would hurt after he just blossomed in-front of the world during the playoffs, but his trade value has probably never been higher. Especially since he had a pretty rough regular season and would’ve maybe fetched a 2nd rounder this off-season had he not woken up.

On the flip side, if you trade Chytil in the Dubois deal, then our 1-2 centers are set but would still have a gap on the 3rd. Much easier to fill that spot, but if the dollars come in close to Chytil then you’re probably better off keeping him and making the deal work another way. Would love to see Drury work some magic but doesn’t seem likely unfortunately.

Bring back Mad Vlad on a one or two year deal. He only made about 2M last season.

I just don’t think we can give Chytil in the deal bc we literally have no center prospects. We’d still have a line without a center and still be loaded on the wings.

After being dealt from a winning team to a declining and rebuilding team (and going from sunny Tampa to dreary NYC)...I would hate it, as well. He's been moved around some the past few years. Perhaps his train of thought would be different this time around.

a wild card that doesn't get any attention is that Karl Henriksson is coming over this year

obviously he'll start in Hartford and who knows what to expect, it's impossible to predict what he is by looking at European numbers, but he's coming

probably one of the reasons they didn't qualify Ty Ronning yesterday

From what I recall Henriksson is a bit undersized for a center. I don't know his game, though, if he's a scorer or more defensive-minded.

I think the only thing we know is that he's undersized, other than that, everything about him is a mystery

If we're gonna ride Chytil as the #2 then go get Gourde with as much $ retained as possible and reunite him with Goodrow on the 3rd line

Seattle needs help staying at the cap floor for the foreseeable future and we have assets
