I still think Dylan Strome is a bizarrely overlooked underrated player. He may not be a #1 Center, but think he's a solid #2C. This season he put up 48 points in 69 games, 22G on a crap team.

If MIN truly can't hold on to Fiala, they should be all over Strome. I don't mean that as a Fiala/Strome swap. It doesn't make sense for CHI, but just saying, he should be MIN's target and probably very affordable for them.

Wild fan here. I don't expect the #2 pick overall and a top prospect. But I do expect one or the other. At least a pick 1-7 in the first round. Or an excellent prospect, preferably a C. I think the one thing that helps sell Fialalalala right now is that he is only 26. He is just starting to hit his prime years for the next 4-6 years. Realistically, his game can still grow quite a bit. That being said, I'm all for trading him when he has had his best season. Discounting the playoffs, Fialalalalala just had a career year, with the chance to be even better still. Guerin has to be saying "thank you" for that season last year, as it made Fialalalalala a more attractive trade asset.

There is absolutely zero way JvR goes to the Wild. They are a cap team with ~6mm in cap space. Let's say JvR goes with 1/2 retained. That's still 3.5mm AAV for a 33 year old bottom six player (on the Wild) who scored 38 points last year.

The Wild already have a 1st round stud goalie prospect in Wallestedt. They are more likely to go with a cheap competent veteran in goal until he’s ready.Someone similar to a James Reimer. All things being equal, I think Guerin would like to trade with a team in the East. A 3C won’t cut it. Just don’t see a match with the Ducks.
