Muzz may have been our best D in the Tampa series ...I'm not giving up on him yet. Baby him next year and have him ready to go for April. - The Law

If you trade for a guy now, you can’t offer him an 8-year deal.
It would be interesting to see the signing success rate for teams that trade for a player’s rights, prior to July 1. - Atomic Wedgie
It’s high. Because they usually only do it if they’ve previously agreed to a new deal. |

All the power to him. He's out for solid money. Its his chance to make his career contract. - Aaron_85
I hope Kuemper could still be an option for the Leafs.. After hearing that he played in the Cup final with only one eye is crazy.. Apparently, he'd go to an optometrist twice a day to check on his vision. |

Call me hesitant but I'm really not sure having one eye makes him a quality option.
He's gonna get overpaid like crazy on the open market too, book it. |

Today was supposed to be the start of an 11-day roadtrip.
Last night, a nail decided to marry one of our tires. Our two-month old tires.
Can’t be repaired.
Good news: it’s covered by warranty.
Bad news: it’s a weird size, nobody has one, so it’s 7-10 business days.

poopty... this is the Vanberghini? They can't be that sparce can they? Maybe make a few calls to tire shops.
Off to the lake at 9am tomorrow ...fingers crossed. |

I'd agree with this except those greasy lawyers/agents are involved. If they're doing their job then JC's team already knows who's interested. If he has a favourite then the 'trade my rights' thing makes some sense. If his favourite is $$ then he waits it out to let the bidding begin. - The Law
Campbell is going to turn 31 shortly after the start of the season and has earned less than $6M his entire career. This is his shot. He need to maximize the number of bidders |

McDonagh isn't going anywhere he doesn't want to go which will cost Tampa a sweetener for someone to take him

Not a fan of post-Cup t-shirts that with a sticking-it-to-you slogan. Kucherov last year, this classless, graceless gesture with the Too Many Men shirt. Unbecoming of a champion. |

Thing is, if he goes to FA and Keumper takes say 4 or 5 million per year then he sets the market as cup champ. Campbell could take a deal say 4 years x 5 million. Youre telling me he's going to walk away from 20 million to try to squeeze another 2? He doesn't need a lot of bidders. He needs a solid number to live off for life. |

I am kinda on the same train of thought here, take the highroad and just get a GD shirt that says CHAMPS and be done with it. All the Tampa fans crying about it is pretty hypocritical though and also hilarious (to me).
Not that I condone it but a better route would have been a less in your face jab, like a Champs shirt with a hidden secret logo/code in it.
I'd have gone with CCC or something similar standing for "Cap Compliant Champs"

If he doesn't want to go it won't matter if Tampa sends a sweetener. I think its more likely they get a lesser package for him since its limited locations.
Also, I understand they need cap space but man tough call trading one of your top dmen. |
