I wanted Freddy back. - GreatGigInTheSky
I don’t know how many videos of goals I posted showing it wasn’t all Freddie’s fault. But man, seeing him in the press box again this year was rough. |

I've been pretty vocal on not wanting MAF, but I'd do that goalie stuff.
Chicago should owe Dubas a favour, so maybe Mrazek straight up? - GreatGigInTheSky
I’m talking myself into wanting Comrie as backup |

Someone also thought the Leafs would miss the playoffs and they went on to set a franchise record for points. So... - GreatGigInTheSky
If you're referring to me, you're wrong. I did not say they would miss the playoffs. The groupthink in here is strong. |

The Leafs have informed teams they're open to trading the rights to pending UFA Ilya Mikheyev. - GreatGigInTheSky
What his contract ask like 4.5~5M ish...
3rd round pick for his rights. |

Pul for Sandin? Subban?! 🤯🤦♂️
Yup total summer heatstroke boredom has set in for sure now.
Getting picks for Campbell and Mik’s rights isn’t a bad thing at all there. Dubas always quiet and you really dont see it coming. Going to be very interesting to see what he does here, especially coming into/at the draft. |

I don’t see what value Campbell’s rights give a team. Why wouldn’t he wait till free agency even if someone else gets his rights? |

it get them full access to negotiate a contract with the team acquiring his right if it's the team he wants to go to. |

Maybe but how confident are you that Muzzin survives this year/next year and that we have someone to step in? They’ve invested too much time in Sandin and given the potential hole his departure creates means the return on any trade had better be better than just a “fair trade”. - Canada Cup
Then 5.6m will be traded off the books and they have money to add.
Not that confident Sandin can be a top 4 d next season, more confident in Liljregren. |

If he gets what he wants then why would he wait?
You can also sign before free agency and get more than what you would have if you waited. Kuemper could water down that market. |

Yes, Freddie is a better goalie but everyone here wanted him run out of town and earlier this year were ready to give Campbell $6 or 7M/year. - Canada Cup
Freddie has had many playoff opportunities and has failed miserably each time. The meltdowns in game 7 against the Bruins where he let one softie after another at critical times, the injury issues make him a poor choice for a #1 goalie IMO. Campbell at a reasonable # would be ok by me, no more than $4. to $4.5M a year. First things first though. Mrazek must be unloaded.
Campbell was not the reason the Leafs lost to Tampa. Not worth speculating what could have been. Leafs need to stay out of the box in the playoffs, whether it is about discipline, or doing what Jon Pooper does, matters not. Facts are facts.
Through their seven game playoff stretch, the Leafs were averaging a league high 6.1 penalties per game. Their total penalties per game increased the most from the regular season – jumping up by a full 2.5 penalties per game.May 29, 2022 |

Highly unlikely
Its either a 2nd and maybe a meh prospect or Kerfoot in some trade where they get back a youngish bottom 6 forward I think. |

I understand the mechanics but I don’t understand why he wouldn’t want to hit free agency. This might be his only crack at a decent payday and limiting himself to negotiating with one team seems very, well, limiting. |

Leafs probably aren't the only team not willing to bet on JC's small sample size.
His market could be small but the few teams that do want him could be really into getting him. If he gets what he is looking before FA then he signs it...like every other FA who signs before free agency day.
Also when you hear interviews of guys going through FA, a lot of them hate it. I am sure it is stressful as (frank) unless you are an elite superstar that can go whenever he wants and stalls the market. |

I want Pululluolujarvi but not for Sandin. And Subban would be atrocious. No thanks to that nonsense.
I'm hoping something insane happens. Some miracle he clears a lot of CAP and sign Forsberg. Him and Bill Ny played great together at the Worlds. I think they were paired together, or maybe it was just a few shifts. Either way. Would be amazing. (I know it won't happen ) |

Pulujujuarvi is good.
Probably is the next Nichushkin as much as Sandin could be a top 4 PP QB. |
