No it's not that they aren't giving specifics. They can't because they don't have any to give. That is the point. 9 months in and they still can't give specifics.
Again, what is a variety of core injuries? I don't know where the disconnect is here. It is possible they don't know. That's what I'm saying! LOL. 9 months in and they still don't know anything.
I still want to know. When was the last time you heard that a player has a whole core injury? The first case in NHL history. - MJL
Whole core injury, lol, CF chose the words, ask him. I think most have said things that probably were off and could be said better, assume that is your what your LOL is addressing. They do know but I think CF just summarizes as the whole core, point is, it is a core injury. |

How can that be true if he was already injured in Nashville and they hid the injuries?
Guess the conspiracy theory needs some work to address the fact that Ellis looked great in training camp and in preseason, up until he got hurt. - Feanor
Yeah, if Nashville hid injuries when trading him that would open a whole can of worms with the league. It’s not realistic. |

So let me understand this … they knew Ellis was hurt, when did they trade for Ellis? Was it not mid July maybe? Was he not already into his summer workouts? Are we saying he was hurt and didn’t tell anyone? That the Preds knew he was hurt ? - wcorvette
I don't know what he is saying but I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is that the Preds knew that he was going to break down physically. It was just a question of when. I think most of the league also that. That combined with the cap squeeze around the league is why the Flyers were able to get Ellis cheap. Nashville wanted out of that contract.

imagine if they do that when nemec is there - 2Real
They need a goal scorer or a highly touted D prospect. There is no way going off the board at 5 makes any sense. They will have at least one D prospect available along with a slew of goal scorers with better upside than Gaiuther who would fill a need while also being BPA.
Re: Gauthier "He will go top 10, but I would personally have reservations on him there," an anonymous executive told The Athletic's Corey Pronman. "The tools are awesome, he’s big, fast, strong, can shoot it as well as anyone but his brain concerns me." Sure sounds like a Flyers pick 😑 |

No they don't know. There is no muscle known as the core. He describes as a multi muscle injury all through his core. Have you ever heard such a thing? Like I said, first of it's kind in NHL history. An injury they can't define and 9 months in, still can't give any kind of a prognosis.

See at this point I’m tempted to hold him to the deadline and get something of value for him. I’m sure Seattle is willing to take him for nothing now just so they can do the exact same thing at the deadline. Let’s see how short sighted Chuck is with this one. |

NBA has too many teams. Subtract like 6-8 teams and these constant trade demands should die out when there’s more parity.
Still, the thought of Kyrie and Simmons’s being stuck on a team together with nothing else is hilarious. Even more so when you realize the Nets don’t want either player |

Yea I got that and really that's a stretch. You think that Ellis is preventing the Flyers from disclosure? I seriously doubt that.
I'll give you my layman's speculative read on this. The Flyers are not hiding anything from us. They're telling us what they know. 9 months in. This is not an injury per se that be diagnosed with an MRI or other diagnostic tools. It's not an injury that they can prescribe a targeted rehabilitation to. This is a player who has broken down physically and his body can no longer handle playing the game at the NHL level. It's extreme wear and tear. I pray that I'm wrong.
Edit: Nashville knew this was coming. - MJL
chuckles got bent over and still to this day people refuse to admit it |

I’m watching the nasty knuckles podcast with Simmonds. Does Simmonds have this right? He says Hextall traded him twice? I know Hextall was the assistant GM in LA but I could swear Fletcher moved Simmonds. |

Interesting, I think Fletcher came on with the Flyers mid season just a few months before Simmonds was traded. Maybe Hextall had already told him he would be traded at the deadline.

Depends on the return. Might be a better one at the trade deadline. Giving Fletcher cap space is a scary proposition.

Simmonds is wrong, but he probably figures Hextall didn’t give him an extension the previous summer and that lead to his trade. Just guessing though. |

Agree you always expressed that, can a team really know if he was breaking down, eh. I more believe you saying they wanted out of the cap, they needed to move one of their D and Ellis was the choice

Then the question would become how come the FLyers medical staff did not diagnose the injuries, or at least even look at him before the trade was completed? |

Why was Ellis the choice? Healthy he is better than Ekholm and he is right handed. I knew it last Summer so how difficult would it be for an NHL team to know it. Not a single team stepped up and bettered the Flyers offer of two young struggling players. One of which they immediately moved to another team.
