Hmmm... when was he drafted and when did he establish he was skipping on his KHL contract?

Seems like it's not in the proper order... and even if his draft was decided after he didnt honor his KHL contract, he still tried to bolt after getting drafted. No?

I don’t really know, the article isn’t exactly peer reviewed. From what I can tell he announced he was not going to play in Russia, was detained. Would you put it past someone from the KHL to complain to their contact in the government about a player backing out of their contract?

All I’m saying is I doubt that this is the tipping point of all Russian hockey players playing in the NHL getting conscripted into the military.

Secret Service already debunked it as BS. Kind of hard to grab a steering wheel from the back of a secured limo, especially when you weren’t even riding in it lol!

That goes without saying and my point was about risks not certainties... there's a chance you may lose that player to military service after making your selection in upcoming drafts.

Good deal for both sides. Probably saw what Fiala got and realized he needs to have a monster year to be worth anything close, and if he gets injured he loses out.

Nice term and cost. Thought he would push for 7.5 or higher. Hopefully he can have a full healthy season

So that means Miller is pretty well gone if we believe the reports of one or the other.

What does a buyout look like? First major mistake by JR

I don’t think it’s a mistake. It would have been a terrible idea to sell low on Brock.

Here’s your buyout.

Nice.
Hopefully he can stay healthy and have a great year or 3.

Good compromise on term and salary.
Can flip him in 2-3 years if need be.

Mike Yeo announced as asst was the first major mistake. 😉😉

Teams seem to be better after he leaves.

He was coach of STL to start when they went from last to first. He's an asst now though even though he was an asst on a terrible Flyers team.

So we essentially traded Brad Shaw to Philly for Yeo?
Just assistant coaches. i'm ok with it.

Thank you. Regardless we need regime change. These morons clearly can’t evaluate talent . I thought they wanted to get faster and harder to play against? Yet another management group that lies to the fans

It is an asst role. He's one of Bruce's buddies im guessing. I like the promotion of Cull. I thought he had done some good work in the minors with little he had to work with.

Colliton was who I wanted an asst instead of Yeo, so at least a bright young coach in Abby.

Still can't believe David Quinn is being passed over again and again.

If Boeser isn't having a good season then he will be moved at the TDL. If he is, then the money is worth it.

Yes. Torts worked with Shaw in CLB and wanted no part of Yeo. I agree, Yeo is serviceable as an assistant. But look out if Boudreau gets fired and Yeo becomes an interim. The Wild quit on Yeo and it’s hard to tell if the Flyers quit on Yeo or if Yeo quit on them.
