I wonder where this is (probably somewhere in South FL) and when it was taken.
Where I'm at we're still in a rain deficit even though we finally started getting our afternoon storms this past month—and even these past 3-4 days we must have got over 10 inches of rain total.
Fact is in most of the state the storm waters still drain away back into the ocean (but not enough goes back into the aquifer where it's needed, and they still carry too much agriculturally polluted water at that). But in SFL, particularly Miami Dade and Broward, there's been so much overdevelopment that the already low lands have sunk (like New Orleans in LA) and the storm drainage infrastructure is over-aged. And that part of FL has been run by the Democrats, not the GQP, although the state government has not been helpful either for that very same reason.
