He put up 30 points playing 13 minutes per game. Kreider isn’t scoring 52 goals next year. Laf should easily get another 20 points In the playoffs he had 9 points in 19 games. You can’t be a bust at 20.

But Laf ain't no bust. He's basically a 20 goal scorer at 20. He was reasonably productive in his rookie year too. He's going to be a very good player or better.

I don't get the offer sheet Kakko thoughts, but I'd certainly offer sheeting Lafreniere if there was an opportunity.

I'm betting that Trotz ends up as part of the new ownership group that is buying the franchise from the current owners over the next 3 years. Just before that announcement, Barry bought a new home in Nashville and has turned down the Jets. He is 13 years younger than David Poile and will most likely be the new GM there by the time the deal is consummated and Poile turns 75 in 2025
