No doubt, the #stlblues are a team to watch over next few days. Vladimir Tarasenko has no plans to rescind his trade request, he’d still like to move on.

And as reported this morning, Torey Krug is a name the Blues have gauged interest in.

Torey Krug would be a good fit, but his contract stinks

What’s your feeling on Dumba? 6 million for next couple of years remaining. He’s a lefty but pretty solid dman.

Don't love him, don't hate him. I wouldn't be against it but he seems to get hurt somewhat often. Also, he's only signed through the upcoming season and is a UFA after that.

I'd do it if he was cheap and MIN was looking to shed cap given all the dead money they have to deal with next year. But I wouldn't pay a premium for one year of him.

As assistant coaches what are their specialties?

After doing a little digging I was able to answer my own question.

Houda has been a member of the Detroit Red Wings coaching staff. He was brought into Detroit to help with their penalty kill units and their play on the defensive side of the puck. Prior to joining Detroit, he served as an assistant with the Boston Bruins for 10 years.
The veteran assistant coach won the Stanley Cup with the Bruins back in 2011.

Wiseman’s skillset lies in skill development, particularly with younger players.

Houda is trash.

Agree, I thought there were 2 years left. One makes it a bit tougher. I just think Arizona wants a boatload plus for Chychrun and at the end of the day he stays there. Maybe we get someone new today?

Yeah I don't think anyone is paying that ridiculous haul for Chychrun, especially not after a down season. I still think he's a hell of a young player but not worth the kind of assets they're looking for

Agreed, he would be a great fit for us or really any team. That said you can’t blame them for asking? If some schmuck is willing to pay it then you pull the trigger.

PS: Rags trade Georgiev

Certainly no blame, I just don't think anyone is going to cough up four high-end assets. Certainly not the Islanders.

There’s a rumor circulating around that Lambert’s mom is sick and that Lameriello is going to fire him because Ledecky and Malkin want to pay him the rest of his contract. E5

Of course. We can trade them the rights to Jeff Tambellini, Jon Sim, Bruno Gervais, and Leo Komarov.

In CHI-related news, not overly surprising, but it doesn’t sound as if the Hawks will be qualifying centre Dylan Strome. Expectation is he will be going to UFA on July 13. July 11 is deadline to issue Qualifying Offer but no reason to believe that will happen here. #outsider

I always wondered why Chicago seemed to never value Strome much. His point totals were respectable. Unless there's something I'm missing, I think he'd be a good add as a UFA depending on price

That's it. Lou is doing jack. Debrincat just went for three draft picks. Asleep at the wheel.

7th overall is better then the 13th but yeah sometimes you have to find a way to make things happen.

Yep. I wonder if Toews and or Kane are legitimately available.
