This would guarantee us a pick 8-12 and burn another year of the young kids ELCs and also leave us in a tight spot next year because we'd probably go UPL and Murray or some combo of it. Which would again, be a bottom 3 tandem, unless UPL can actually play more than a few games in a row and prove he belongs.

I would've loved 7 and 9, just make sure you hit on 9 and 16..

My Avs fans friend says he's quality on a great team but I suspect relatively average on a middle of the road team.. Doesn't bode well if we get him.

I'd have thought him being sent down and making 7 mil in salary would make that obvious.

The family bit makes it tricky on Ottawa, but Murray also did well to rehab his value a bit after the call up. I think he just wants to make sure the move is right for him, not a risk another scenario that might see him get sent down.

Right, sort of my point though. He wants the optimal set up for him to do well, both on and off the ice.

That trade was better than I expected him to get, I'll give him that... But it still would give us bottom 3 goaltending tandem in the NHL... I give him credit for potentially getting us up 9 spots, but hopefully we get a better number 1 goalie and maybe we can actually contend for the playoffs.
