yeah he stinks
lets get shea weber instead - homiedclown
For all we know he signs here. Until that does or doesn't happen, I don't get the constant dogging. The season doesn't start for several months. |

I hope the Sabres take Savoie at 9. |

Is it always raining where you live? The players seemed to be over the moon last year. You'd have a point if we were starting with a superstar and then trying to fill in around him. - Slump Buster
They were over the moon last year yes. But my point is, if we continue to not make the playoffs, they can have the best comradery in the history of the NHL, guys will want to get out of here.

That is not the point, it's Adams job to go out and make this team better. He tried, and I am glad he did. The point is that the Sabres are such a sh!t show that a dump wouldn't waive to come here. It's embarrassing - Buff36
Yes, that’s embarrassing
But it’s the situation we are in
And it’s the situation that all the fans are gonna have to find some way to come to terms with
It doesn’t matter that you’re pushing 60 & dome waiting for the team to be good
Hopefully now you can see that Adams can’t just snap his fingers & bring back the glory days of Briere/Miller/Drury
I get that it sucks
But doing the (Adams) rebuild is gonna take some more time |

I’ll be bummed if all they do over this draft weekend is make their picks, but I’ll understand it.
We all know what the team needs a goalie a top 4 rhd and a true top 6 forward preferably center. But I doubt we get them even after free agency.
Get me an average goalie and a top 4 d and I’ll be happy going into the year.
In the past I’ve wanted huge splashy moves all over the place, we just need to accept that this Sabres team isn’t going to do it. |

Players retired in the middle of games when the Bills sucked 6 years ago. Now hall of famers are signing with them.
Will be the same with the Sabres when we have a core of good players. We are nowhere near that right now |

Those dudes are what, 20,21? What have any of them do in the NHL yet? Very little, trading picks for 9 million dollar wingers this draft when we are a bottom feeding team I would want Adam’s fired. - Fattony1187
Eichel and Reinhart were what, 23 or 24 when they wanted out. Not too far off. And for the record, I'm not proclaiming to go out and get Debrincat, I'm asking for us to get a goalie by any means and then sign a top six forward and top 4 rhd to big money SHORT term deals.

Without a goalie, the vibe can change very quickly. Adams owes it to the team to provide a real option. The next week is Billy Fucillo huge. |

Get an average to an above average goalie and a top 4 D and they’re pushing for a spot in the dance. They probably won’t make it, but it will be a lot better than putting out Aaron Dell and Tokarski. |

I get that - at some point it has to pay off. We are less than 2 years from the darkest point in our history. The team was a ton of fun to root for last year - when was the last time that happened? We didn't have Zenon Knopka out there - it was the kids carrying us. Why can't that be enough? Why do we need token trades from KA so that everyone can think that they are trying to win?

This, all day long. I don't need them to bring in a stop-gap center or D and thus not letting the kids play the minutes that they need to play. There will be more people coming in.

If he does nothing other than sign/trade for a real goalie, I'm good. Make your picks, sign PK, whatever. Just. Get. A. Goalie. |

7 and 8 years after their drafts. Nowhere close to Dahlin and Cozens |

We had fun at the back half of last year yes... But unless they replicate that win % the entire year, it will not be fun and the team will not be having fun. Having moral victories is not enough. Winning is all that matters in sports

Sure is, Kuemper ends up in Edmonton next season, MAF who knows he’s not coming here even though I love that idea. Adams best shot is trading for one without a NTC. |

Eichel expressed a desire to leave if things didn't get better by year 4..
Reinhart year 5
Dahlin is all ready coming up on year 5
Cozens year 3
Let's not act like they're wet behind the ears and Reinhart and Eichel were 55

But those weren't moral victories - they were real victories. They had a really tough schedule down the stretch and they won more games that anyone thought they would. Again, it was the kids playing and we had bad goaltending. Lots more kids coming. If even some of them pan out we are set up to have a real shot at it for a good long time.

Throw a pick to SJ for Hill or Reimer. Throw some cash at Husso or Campbell.
It's really not acceptable for a GM to say "this is too hard." |
