Certainly not off his play last season. Of the three question mark 1st round draft picks (Krebs, Cozens, and Mitts) Krebs is by far the biggest risk of bust IMO.

If Kane doesn’t come with an acceptable extension, I see no reason to trade for him period. If he wants in next year, yep all for it. Keep stacking the prospects unless you’re getting at least 4/5 years of Kane.

If he has trades done it would make sense to announce at the mic. That part wouldn't surprise me.

In the southeast where I’m located none of these teams have a goalie that stands out that looks the part. Kuemper played for the Solar Bears years ago but that’s about it.

For me it's simple. You're not going to make the Playoffs for the first time and win the cup in the same year. It aint happening. You have to lose a series to learn how to make a run. Bringing in Kane does a couple things:
1. It all but guarantees were playing meaningful games to the wire if we have anyone but a stiff in net. This excellerates development of the youngsters who have never played a playoff series because they'll get one this year.
2. You have a HoF playmaker to set Quinn next to his rookie year
3. Because it's Kane and not just another future HoFer, you get 41 sell outs.

Sell outs are fun. I go to games. I want a full crowd. I want playoffs.

I would have loved Nazar and Savioe had they gotten the 7th pick and kept the 9th
