Lambert should have been picked - SABRES 89
Yeah, let's pick the lazy player 🤣
If you're using only stats to rip Kulich, Lambert had two goals and four assists in 26 games with JYP; Two goals and two assists in 24 games with Lahti |

I'll give you 2/3. I wouldve gone nazar at 9, but i know savoie had strong underlying numbers for 2 years in a row (DY-1 is a strong indicator and his was good).
Kulich at 28 is pretty good value too. Strong upside for a 28th overall pick. Held his own in the pros. - Michael Ghofrani
Savoie is good value, Kulich is great value, imo. I'm happy overall.

Tell me again why a 40 goal 24 year old is bad. - lacaprup
If you are looking to build a championship the first two guys you pay can't be wingers making more than 9 per year. Again, the contract is what kept a the league from making the deal. He went for a fraction of the asking price |

Lamoureux gone - Buff36[/quot
Had him going at 28 in contest |

Who will be the first to cry over this pick? - jochfr
Not me, I thought Oslund was a bit of a reach but Kulich was great value. Funny, but if Kulich was taken at 16 and Oslund at 28 I would have loved both picks. Need some D in the next few picks.

He’s a big boy, needs to put some weight on that frame. |

My only thing with Kulich is that the players with his draft year in euros that go on to become successes typically have a monster DY+1.
So this is one that's worth watching closely. I would've gone with howard but I at least understand the gamble here. |

Trade up for lambert - TaroTsujimoto5
I haven't seen him play but I did see one person refer to him as the new Nylander (and not the right one) |

Yes they are. Speed and tons of skill. Where can you got wrong |

So I don't know who won. I guess the first person who predicted Savoie, because no one had Kulich and the guy who had Ostlund didn't have Savoie.
So Leninthebuff.... you are the winner of a Sabres sticker.
PM your details if you're so inclined |

Kris Baker loved him at 16. That's more than enough for me. Wasn't really familiar with him until he gushed about him.

KA winning tonight for sure. - The_Inkwell
The most important thing to happen today is we passed on acquiring a player who at 24 would have been the best player in the organization for two 1sts and a 2nd. And, we still don't have a goalie, but we have three new skilled centers we wont see for two years.
Some may call that winning, and maybe it will be several years from now. The math says none of what we picked today will ever equal that 24 year old we didn't bother with (for those of you who like analytics). Would any of us have said Center was the greatest organizational need 4 hours ago?
Winning? Maybe. Certainly not next season though. I hope KA has some big FA moves coming. He certainly has more than enough cap space available. |
