I’m more than pleased with tonight. Savoie will be a stud in short order. Interesting selections on the others so pretty excited overall. Be nice if Chesley falls to our second. |

Should’ve drafted that guy just based on how he dressed alone |
|

Isaac Howard at 31 is criminal. Good for Tampa, they really needed it.
Dressed up like miami vice and star wars theme as his draft music? For a team all about the vibes we sure whiffed here lol. |

Not a bad day - Buff36
They made the best of a bad situation. Imagine if they hadn't traded for Seth Jones. Also they botched this thing given mediocre return for cat. They also should have traded Kane already. |

Kane, Toews, Jones, all should be traded. |

Cool...they got rid of a 40 goal scorer and a 1st round prospect for some kids who won't contribute for 2-3 years at the earliest.

He won't unless we trade up. But with Chelsey, Luneau, Casey and a few other RHD in range, they should be able to get a good one. Forwards I like at 41 are Hughes, Schaefer, Perevalov (some like him better than Yurov),

I thought Kemell was the guy at 16. Wonder if they'd take him if they knew Kulich would be there at 28. But that's not how this works. |

They are rebuilding. I understand it. Debrincat would have left after next year.
The return was suspect. |

I liked Kulich better, we didn't need another 5'9" forward

More than likely no. Scott Morrow wasn’t supposed to make it to 40 last year, so never say never. |

The most important thing to happen today is we passed on acquiring a player who at 24 would have been the best player in the organization for two 1sts and a 2nd. And, we still don't have a goalie, but we have three new skilled centers we wont see for two years.
Some may call that winning, and maybe it will be several years from now. The math says none of what we picked today will ever equal that 24 year old we didn't bother with (for those of you who like analytics). Would any of us have said Center was the greatest organizational need 4 hours ago?
Winning? Maybe. Certainly not next season though. I hope KA has some big FA moves coming. He certainly has more than enough cap space available. - lacaprup
Yes. That and RhD.
I am not yet convinced on Tage as a 1C...I hope like hell he continues to develop, but I'm not firmly in that camp yet.
Cozens seems like Cirelli type...better suite for 3C IMO
Krebs, Mitts are both up in the air. What are they exactly?
Sabres need for 3 out of 4 of them to hit. I can't count on that.
Savoie should be solid. If so then Mitts and Krebs go to wing or are used as trade bait.

Yep - i liked Kemmell there too, but kemmell is a RW, Oslund a center, so I think they preferred Oslund, irrelevant of Kulich, who maily plays LW |

They would need to attach giant compensation to get rid of Jones. It seems that 9 million dollar contracts don't go away easily....

It's good to see ESPN screw this whole draft coverage up |
