They need one asap. - Stripes77
Who do you target?
Does LA want to trade Quick?
Sharks have 3?
I don’t expect anything crazy, just give me average…
Do the ducks trade Gibson? I don’t expect him here. Just curious if he’s moved. |

Well still plenty of good players left. Some decent RD there. Think it might be time to use some of that draft capital and move up from 41. - Buff36
With Lambert gone, I don't think there's a need to move up. UNLESS they covet Chesley who is standing out like a sore thumb as the only remaining player on my page one left. KA moved up for Peterka, so may happen

Isn't Peterka primarily a center as well? - lacaprup
No. Winger.
Now maybe Donnie sees him as a C, lol...a la Tage. |

Why not overpay for Kuemper - give him 6.5 per for 2-3 years. I've been begging for him for 3 years now. We have plenty of cap and don't have to trade for him |

6.5 for Kuemper is not an overpay. That’s in-line and it’s going to be a bad contract.
Anaheim allegedly will eat salary on a Gibson deal so I’d call and offer a 2nd to Ana for Gibson and 25% retained. |

Rumor is he was looking for a long term deal at that price. So doubt your numbers will her it done with him |

I'm confused....thought we were talking draft wise for positions relative to the capital necessary to expend on trading for Cat. Yes, G short and long term needs, although drafting one until 4th round probably. To use their early picks on a G is insane. Hence why with their 1st puck I am very happy to add Savoie a C. - IonSabres
There are always trades to be made. KA needs to adress goalie. It didn't happen tonight, but it has to happen. No excuses are available. He should have been aware he was trying to trade for someone who could veto a trade and have plan b ready. And, incidentally, I'd like plan b to have better than a .900 save % recently. Plan a was an upgrade over last year but barely.
Until goalie is addressed, KA just spent 3 assests on center instead of trading for a goalie. He also didnt force MIN to pay MAF a poop ton money by offering him 2 years 20 million. You holding your breath for Cam Talbot? What is he going to do to address team needs now and next year? Or is CA coming back on a one year deal next season too? Certainly, no one should expect Levi. But, hey, three centers we wont see for two years when we have four 1st round centers (Tage, Mitts, Cozens, Krebs) rostered now. |

Not that we should draft for position, but I feel like first 2 picks tomorrow should be D-men. The cupboard is pretty bare there.
Anything on the meeting with Johnson today? |

In no particular order, we still have:
Chesley
Luneau
Casey
Firkus
Hutson
Del Bel Belluz
Trikozov
Odelius
Goyette
Warren
Lutz
Havelid
Beck
…and I’m sure I’m forgetting several possibilities. Still plenty of talent to go around.

Part of the problem with three forwards tonight is that we are still short on orgazational D. I would make that trade but I was hoping to use two high picks for D. |

We will be fine. Our top 4 in the NHL are 22 and under. He will snag a few in the draft and lots of picks next year too |
