I don't think this is true or even necessarily likely. With these kinds of trades the team will hold celery so as to maximize the amount of teams that can take on his remaining contract. If a team like Tampa squeezes him in there is no way (well, almost no way - it is Tampa after all) that they could then pay him 10 mill the following season.

Somebody would absolutely pay him in that neighborhood, especially if it isn't a long-term contract. In theory it could be us even with the Skinner contract, but we wouldn't want to go more than 2 years as that is when things are going to get dicey for us.
