It’s why it’s absolutely silly to put some arbitrary 2 year maximum number on term for a goalie.

I really hope goaltending doesn’t sink this team again.

Because next years free agency and trade market will go the same way with a bunch of players telling us no thank you

My final thoughts on the draft;

Savoie, Kulich, Neuchev, Lindgren we’re all home runs in my eyes and steals where we got them.

Ostlund was a target I was hoping for at 28, I felt 16 was a tad bit high. At the same time, after Geekie went he was probably the top rated Center left on the board and the premium on that position always gets over drafted.

Only thing keeping me from giving them an A+ was the moronic decision to take a goalie at 41 with the talent available on the board.

Final Grade: A-

They were actually gonna take the goalie at pick28,
but they couldn’t pass up on Kulich when he fell to them

I thought it was odd that we only took one RD,
and not till the 5th round
There were guys i liked with pick 28 and our 2nd & 3rd rounders

Missing out on Gibson hurts ........ badly.

It hurts in the immediate
But it’s arguable whether or not it actually would’ve been a good move to trade for him

He’s been on a bad team for a while,
but he hasn’t played well in a few years

I’m not gonna say he’s shot
But it is reasonable to question if he’s still an all-star level goalie

And with 5years left on his deal,
it would obviously be a very risky move

Especially considering it would take good assets to get him

I think Savoie is a great pick. Is he ready this year?

Also please trade for Antti Raanta, guy is a stud

Well said. Also, I am not terribly concerned about which goalie we end up with because they are all just lottery tickets. We have no idea which ones would be good for us and which ones won't. Because of that I would lean towards the ones that we aren't tied to for long and won't cost assets.
