Terrible is harsh, I just dont see it. but then again, I literally didn't see any of it
- Michael Ghofrani

I was lukewarm instantly but doing a lot of research I'm really digging this guy. Coupled with our atrocious center depth. This is a very solid choice

Lambert !

I'll be ok with

Seamus Casey or Ryan Chesley

both RD for Rochester where we are absolutely bare

No, my point is you’re acting like it’s not possible to acquire a player who’s contributing now AND in 2-3 years from now
- sbroads24

I would be thrilled with a hockey trade. Why did Hagel get a similar return as the cat even though he is a much better player? Contract. It scared away most of the league.

He slapped us in the face with it, wrapped it in sh!t and threw it on Harbor Center's front walk way. People should be embarrassed by that.
- Buff36

and he's not even going to start for the Sens, they don't want him.

1 pick away - would think Lambert has to be enticing. Chesley would be absolutely fantastic here too
- turbo044

This team is going to have to acquire LTIR contracts at this point just to get to the floor.

They should not have been scared of anything

I’d have taken a shot at him.
Played in the same team as Cozens and Krebs.

Lol... not a single player we draft this year will ever touch DeBrincat and you're worried about two 1sts and a 2nd. Wow.
- lacaprup

So if Savoie turns into Brayden Point 2.0 you’d still be okay with trading him for DeBrincat?

Just sort of reads like a solid 3rd liner. Which isn't bad in it of itself, but those are the type of players your analytics dept can find for cheap in FA. Not a great way to use 16th overall.

Idk, I've just yet to read anything that suggests really high upside, especially considering who was available.

No. No it wouldn’t have.
He went for 7 and another pick.

It would have been 9, another pick and like a 3rd.

- ImThatGuy

7 and 39 are both higher than 9 and 41 so…

The Skinner contract is already going to be a huge issue in three years. Getting to the cap floor is not a concern and never will be.

Yea. Former 3rd overall pick for a reason.

We picked a guy who’s minimum 3-5 years away at this point. He isn’t coming to North America for another two years. That’s already confirmed.

The math says my statement is far more likely to be true than Savoie becoming a perennial Conn Smyth candidate.

But if he becomes our Brayden Point, I'd be pretty happy. In the mean time, he won't play an NHL game for two years and Cat will have 80 more goals by then.

I'm sorry. Not it's not. And you can sell off contracts if you're that good and need more room.

His draft position is meaningless now. Think the oil are asking for a top 10 pick for pulljararvi?
