No, it isn't. From what I read he told them he wouldn't waive for any team on his no trade list.
- Slump Buster

which is his right

this falls on gm's handing out all these NTC and NMC

No, the caller (who sounded strangely familiar) said you have to be one or the other

Lawrence Pilut’s contract with Traktor Chelyabinsk of the KHL has been terminated, per the team.

I’m told the Sabres are “very interested” in bringing Pilut back to Buffalo. And Pilut is willing to sign a two-way contract to get another NHL opportunity.

Exactly. My point is that it isn't some slight to us. Guys turn down trades all of the time - it isn't a slight on the city or the organization.

and the first call into GR this morning - there are apparently two types of Sabres fans: those that want them to win games and those that only want to win drafts. You have all been warned. To make things simpler, please change your tag line to indicate where your allegiance is.

Battle for 6th/7th with Fitz and Bryson?

Still hoping they bring in a vet.

Well if the Sabres weren't such a poorly run Organization the last 12yrs, and with the opportunity he could have had, I think he would have waived. It's embarrassing that a goalie who hasn't been very good the last few years wouldn't waive to come to a supposed up and coming team.

I do not get draft grades

on Kulich

Aggressive on the forecheck with great hands and an accurate shot, Jiri Kulich will fit in well with the rest of this Sabres draft class. Probably should have gone higher in the first round as well.

Grade: B-

https://ftw.usatoday.com/...racker-grades-first-round

I would think if you grabbed the best player available who should have been off the board, the grade should be an A

side note

Noah Ostlund is your prototypical playmaker at the NHL level. With great vision and stick handling, Ostlund is the guy you want making passes to your goal scorers. While his shot is fair, Ostlund excels at being a set up man and possession machine.

Grade: C

Yes they were. Time to move on from it. All the GM can do is try and change things for the better from here on out.

I know Pilut was pissed he could not play in the AHL all star game just to sit in the box suite on the west coast trip

At ten times the salary, though.

Hopefully he isn't pissed if he doesn't beat out one of those two and he's sent to Rochester.

Having an amazing prospect pool doesn't make you an amazing team. But if even half of those guys become great players, how can you not be excited by that?

I look forward to the team being actually good, actually soon. And I look forward for them to continue to be good.

And I'm going to keep praying to a multitude of gods that we dont see drafts like 2010 again that helped us (frank)in get here.
