ive spent a lot of time looking into the other two guys, as I spent plenty of time on savoie who I didn't think we'd have an opportunity to take. there are a lot of people in the industry very high on these two kids. apparently kulich is a steal. i mean we've complained for YEARS for not taking the skills guys. we finally start doing it and now people are (frank)ing butthurt about it. These skills guys, your Debrincats and your Pastrnaks and your Points, knocked because of their lack of physicals, always seem to show their stuff once they're given a few years.

That should excite you guys. A lot.

- TheSabresTaco

They had a decent draft, but there were opportunities to do more than just draft. You can build for the future while also helping the present. The Sabres have the assets to do that without hurting there future. Tired about hearing well we might have to pay this guy or that guy in 2 yrs, well than again maybe you won't because he won't keep progressing.

The stanley cup winning team didnt want kuemper, it wasnt just his contract demands.

He didnt stand out in the playoffs particularly
(For being a top ufa)

The Avs won because they scored a lot, not because of goaltending.

Some of Us: "I wish the Sabres would try and bring in quality players for this year and beyond. Debrincat would have been great add, im pissed we couldn't get him"

Others: "Stop whining you idiot, go become a fan of another team"

- ImThatGuy

so if you don't like one of the three picks, you can't be a fan?

The Avs won because they scored more than the other team did.

Absolutely. I thought of this last night - look at the goaltending that has won the last several cups. Other than Vasi there is a whole pile of average guys.

I really wonder what Montreal is doing. They are stuck with Price but they seem to be burning down the rest of it.

He uses PWWTBH more than Kevyn Adams.

Here's my problem with this: Once upon a time, Sabres management and ownership flew to Calgary to convince Robyn Regehr to be a PWWTBH.

This current incarnation places zero emphasis on the front office personnel's ability to sell Buffalo on players. They put the onus on the player to want to be here.

Isn't it at least partly the GM's job to convince players to come?

Right, but don't they also need a goalie? I get trying to move Petry and guys like that. But Anderson and Allen? They aren't old guys.

I'm not going to be mad about the three guys we picked.

If it were my choice, I'd have used 16 and 28/Mittelstadt to get Cat. I'm not going to be a sour puss about it. But I want to see more young NHL assets brought here.

90% of us are excited. A couple aren't because they:
(1) want us to tamper with UFA goalies
(2) want KA to repeat the sins of past GM's and rush the rebuild

Of course it is, and this still happens. As far as last offseason was concerned, what kind of masochist would have chosen this franchise?

In general, some players buy in, while some players like tuch are just really excited at the prospect of playing in buffalo before they're even here. Both of these categories fit the WTBH™

I'm on your side of the argument but breaking it down like this isn't very fair. There's more to it.

Rushing the rebuild is not defined as acquiring a high end talent that matches the age of the new core of players.

I’m not a draft expert but the savoie and Kulich picks are very solid.

I would just like to hear some accountability from the front office to recruit good players. None of their talk relates to results. It relates to vibes. I think that's a problem.

Any time something goes wrong, the reply is "fine, we don't want you here anyway."
