I don't buy that for a second. A 2nd round D is 4 years out. No one knows what our D looks like that far out.
- Lunaion

Dahlin signed long term. Power on his first contract (non-elc) Samuelsson signed long term, Joker on his 2nd of 5 years.

Our D is fine for the foreseeable future

You are right. We should never draft a forward again
- Fattony1187

Literally the same logic someone just said that we dont need Defense because we already have 4 good ones.

Samuelsson, Joker, Power

Complete unknowns.

Dahlin is signed for 2 more years and turned down a long term contract already.

How many good forward prospects do we have that we just took three more in the first round
- ImThatGuy

LW depth was/is not very good. He helps that a lot.

That someone said we don't need to draft D because we already have good young prospects?

They have good young prospects everywhere.

- ImThatGuy

No one is saying that other than you. There is no need to reach for a position when guys are 4 years out. Who knows what the team will look like in 4 years. Especially when you have 4 young D under contract and hopefully a 5th (Johnson) soon. If not we have a 1st and three 2nds next year to attack D

if your convinced dahlin is going to sign long term

you literally have 25 of the 60 minutes covered a night in d men between those 2 for the next 10 years

I don't understand your confidence in their ability to sign long term deals.

People need to get with the updated NY laws and smoke some weed and chill. It’s laughable some of their takes at this point.

People upset we didn’t use a 3rd rd pick on a D because Power, the #1 overall pick last year “is an unknown”. 😂😂

Joker had a rough year, was trending down quite a bit.
Samuelsson was all over the board.
Power has played 9 games.

All potential, but complete unknowns.

Get it right, it was rd 2 and taking a goalie 7+ years away VS a massive RD prospect.

Neuchev is the mother of all analytics picks. I havent checked in a while but he led his league in shot attempts by an insane margin. Dude has a prime directive in the offensive zone, everything else is optional lol.

If the Sabres sign Subban-or-equal to a 3 year deal, the top-4 is set through 2024-2025

What “massive” RHD prospect will be in the NHL now that we passed over in the 2nd rd? All these guys are years away.

You need to start watching the games with the lenses that make it look like the sky is falling. Everyone that isn't an all star is very suspect.
