It’s why it’s absolutely silly to put some arbitrary 2 year maximum number on term for a goalie.

I really hope goaltending doesn’t sink this team again.

Because next years free agency and trade market will go the same way with a bunch of players telling us no thank you

- sbroads24

Gibson has 5 more years on his deal, so that 2 year thing is bogus

Be longer than just next year if things don't change.
- Buff36

I was told the perception of Buffalo has changed because of two months of good hockey.

The next question that goes along with that is why anybody feels certain that the Sabres will start making decisions on their players, looking for free agents, etc. after this coming season.

What's so special about this season that will lead Sabres management to know what they have and what they don't?

My point: If they are willing to punt another year of decision making, I'm guessing they won't have much trouble doing that again.

It changed in the city, not around the league...

Some hockey folks are changing their tune on the Sabres but they need a strong season this year

He signs and gets a good look at camp.

If he looks half way decent. He stays for his 9 games and gets sent back.

If it looks to be too much. He gets sent down after preseason

- Sabretooth9

Loan him to Europe so he at least can play against men. Or is that not allowed either

Give Adams cudos for trying. But all the horrible decisions of the past are really coming back to haunt this Organization
- Buff36

I bet he still has nightmares about giving Ullmark that 1 year deal.

Trying is nice, but results are all that matters.

Murray. No.
Gibson. No.

Who’s next that can turn the Sabres down?

Appreciate Adams kicking tires. I guess he hasn’t wiped enough stink off the organization yet….

So Anderson, Upl, Subban it is…

Lacaprup and Marty Biron might be onto something with the Charlie Lindgren talk. Biron has been on it for a while. Would at least be respectable camp competition for UPL

God I have no clue

Gibson was my target all along

No way Varlomov waives

Maybe Allen or Holtby

Good luck with Anderson, UPL, Tokarski, Subban…

That’s not sustainable over 82.

I also know the off-season isn’t over…

Could see a forced marriage with Holtby. He wants to start and we might be the last option.

It's embarrassing, people really need to open there eyes. It's really good they are trying to fill and build through the draft but that's 1 part of Hockey. They have failed miserably everywhere else. Are Organization just got the Finger twice, and one might not even start in the NHL this year.

Very possible. Also the fact that he's only 32 feels wrong to me. Seems like he's been around forever

I laid out my goalie rotation earlier today, didn't actually think it might come true. But it might be at 60% now.

This is probably the play. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried for Lankinen. Terrible this season, but pretty good the year before.

It's not a bad option really. Just left with the feeling that he's our last choice and we're his last choice. It's the downside of these rumors being made public.
