According to sources, Vancouver will be shipping off star Center/Winger JT Miller to the New York Rangers. It is unknown right now at what the Rangers will be sending to Vancouver. #NYR #Canucks

Its crazy how this stuff appears out of nowhere. Then the ONE time the wild rumor becomes reality, people go: "See its all true!" |

U wouldn’t do pick 20+ next year, 63 and 97 this year and Jones for Dach? Wow. |

In CHI-related news, not overly surprising, but it doesn’t sound as if the Hawks will be qualifying centre Dylan Strome. Expectation is he will be going to UFA on July 13. July 11 is deadline to issue Qualifying Offer but no reason to believe that will happen here. #outsider |

No, I wouldnt. What exactly has Dach done to deserve that kind of return other than being young? |

Besides turning Georgiev into 3 mid round picks, Drury has also been seeking to acquire a higher pick in likely a 2022 upper 2nd Rounder to include as part of a package deal needed to bring in a center exclusive of J.T. Miller; who unless Vancouver changes their demands & game plan, will not be coming to the Rangers. That despite the heavy rumors beginning yesterday of the Rangers being his likely destination. It was also revealed that J.T. preferred playing with a U.S. based team, as one reason for him not agreeing yet to Vancouver's 6 year offer presented him.
First, game plan wise, Vancouver wants at least one top young already pro roster player, and/or pending who, a top prospect(s) who could be NHL ready this season. Their preference isn't a 1st Rounder for 2022 in part for Miller. For the 2023 Draft, possibly; due to that expected to be a very deep draft. They also want Schneider included in any Rangers trade, which is a BIG "NO NO."
Like with Schneider, I feel Drury doesn't want to part with his 2023 1st Rounder for likewise reason in that Draft. But that's also due to that pick's value potentially rising greater in return beginning nearer the 2023 trade deadline through one year from today; when Drury may still need some key missing piece to the Cup puzzle.
That's why I initially suggested here either just after their elimination or Summer breakup; that should both Copp & Strome depart, the Rangers first center option if becoming available July 13th should be Canes center Vincent Trocheck. I never would have considered otherwise J.T. Miller as in effect, a one-year rental; who would subsequently command up to an $8M AAV long term deal. That given first their upcoming two seasons' cap restraints, & after Vancouver's ridiculous asking price for J.T. prior to the 2022 trade deadline. |

Too bad eichiefs9, with your Isles lacking anywhere close to that cat's overall speed during their two Pandemic seasons' runs in their own failed quests to get past the Lightning.
