One, how do you know? Two, why would Seattle swap picks and for what?
- MJL

Why would any team not listen to a real offer? Honestly I don’t know but seriously, do you actually believe that CF made any sort of plausible offer? I highly doubt that buffoon made any offer. Seattle would presumably listen to real offers. And flipping 4 and 5 when Seattle took Berniers last year, should not have required an impossible effort. CF is not a winner. He’s proven that there is no such thing as a successful “aggressive retool”

A lot of people on here are down about the pick, much like Jim Kenney is down about being mayor for another day.

Is this real information or more nonsense
- ClaudeFather

As real as it can be at this time of year. Plenty of people speculating and Weekes just said on the broadcast that it’s true.

That's right you don't know. So why are you repeatedly stating that he made no effort?

Chicago has more sense than the flyers. Be honest know your team and if your going to aggressive retool just know you have to get very very lucky or be a middle of the road team.
The flyers aren’t lucky.
As far as the pick. I’m fine with it.
People are going to beyotch no matter what.
Knock on him is that he shoots TOO much lol.

- THE BLACK HAND
No, what's sickening is frauds like you coming on here and ripping everyone when you don't have one iota of a clue about hockey. Now why don't you go jagoff to your Sixas and world cup posters. Jackass!!

The Flyers function as well as Ek’s server. Two days matter, the trade deadline and the draft and neither seem to work on those days.

All you do is question other peoples opinion. That’s your right but I’m not engaging in your Socratic method. Truly, it doesn’t make you smart nor does it make you seem or sound smart. If that’s your jam, so be it. Again, it’s my opinion and I doubt CF made any real effort. Feel free to question how I know it’s my opinion and the answer will not change.

It will be fun, like a reverse York vs Caulfield debate.
- MBFlyerfan

That debate is still not complete….let’s see what York does this year. Right now …sure it’s Caufield….but that can change.

Not entirely sure he didn’t turn off comments during the Flyers pick on purpose. Remember how they tried to cleanse the site of any mention of Giroux getting arrested

Report that Mikhail Vorbyev has been charged with bribery in order to evade the military and could face up to 12 years in jail.

I wanted Nazar as I have mentioned the past couple of days, but people absolutely ripping this pick are bozos. He is basically a Jeff Carter type which isn't bad and this team can certainly use some size. The guy played center this year and excelled, but of course everyone wants to whine. Nazar would have been a better pick, but they could have done worse. Thanks!

Honestly, spending to the cap to me is foolish given where this franchise currently stands. If they find themselves in the lottery again next year, I don’t think it’s the worst thing. This team needs an influx of young impact players on rookie deals.

I guess we reached the extent of it. You can have any opinion you want. So can I.
My opinion is what you posted here is nonsense. Same as criticizing Fletcher for not making an offer to move up.

In all honesty not as much since he’s started working for them imo
- hereticpride

IMO he’s (Bill) been pretty forthcoming & honest with us ravaging fans…Flyers organization has been a mess for years now with promise of contention. I do appreciate his insight though…hopefully the Org turns it around…not sure they will. Haven’t felt proud to be a Flyer fan since 2010

makes sense. but that does seem to be the flyers methodology for the most part.
- stayinthefnnet

The last time they really took any real risk with a high pick was Peter Forsberg.

I’d be fuming if I was a Chicago fan
- ClaudeFather

Trading a 24 high end player hurts for sure but they weren’t going anywhere so they decided on a rebuild not a aggressive retool.
It will be a nice comparison in the years to come to see what worked better.

" it certainly appears that CF makes no real effort"

"Good move to stand Pat at 5. No effort (apparently) to trade up as Wright fell."
