Trading a 24 high end player hurts for sure but they weren’t going anywhere so they decided on a rebuild not a aggressive retool.
It will be a nice comparison in the years to come to see what worked better.

He might be a very nice man, but I have seen absolutely nothing he’s done that’s been a good or positive move. His history is not a good one nor a successful one. So given his absence of success, I stand by my negative view of him that he likely did not make any reasonable effort to trade up. Indeed, he hasn’t improved this team as of yet since he’s become the GM.

i thought that too. i thought the return in a vacuum was a little underwhelming. not a fleece job, but just wouldnt rouse me as much as i thought it would. but what it does is ensure their own pick is that much better next year.
