Haha 100% the same. Now I'm going to catch up on The Old Man. Highly recommend that show.

I don't mind the pick. Some had him projected at 15 overall. He is one of the tallest players in the draft. He knows how to use his body and he has a dangerous wrist shot. He may be a good starter in a few years. |

I’m wrapped up in Doom Patrol right now and super into it, but I’ve added The Old Man to my upnext in appletv. FX usually doesn’t miss. |

Those highlights of that Yurov kid...yikes. I think Feds was right.

A top 10 talent that could have been a middle 6 winger in a year. |

Never heard of Doom Patrol. I'll have to look it up and FX has definitely not missed on this one. I was apprehensive for some reason to start, but everyone has been raving about it and I see why.

I'm happy with the Pickering pick. Probably would have preferred Lambert or Yurov but I think like those two, he has some pretty high upside.
Edmonton paid a hell of a lot to move Kassian to Zona. Traded down 3 spots which isnt a huge deal but also 2nd and 3rd rounder. I'd have taken him for just the 2nd and 3rd. |

A lot of good Russians fell in this draft and will definitely make teams pay in a few years who passed on them. |

AZ picked a poop draft year to have 90 picks in the first round. |

I still think Wright comes out of this draft as the far and away best player. He missed a good bit of hockey with this Covid stuff but he is going to have a monster chip on his shoulder and he is going to put it all together. It was a massive mistake for Zona to take Cooley over him. While I would have been happy to get him I think Cooley seems like an incredible douche (Grew up in Pittsburgh a Caps fan). He might end up good but Wright is going to end up great. |

Insanely disappointing pick, but not surprising. That is Hextall's MO. Take the less risky guy.
Penguins couldnt have asked for much more other than the Russian kid being there that Washington took at 20. He would've been my pick. But you had a dynamic winger and talented center both available and you take the project defenseman. What a complete joke.
I was pi$$ed as soon as they said it, but when ESPN said he's 4 years away from being NHL ready, I turned off the TV.
This kind of crap is what got Hextall run out of Philadelphia. You have a 3 year window and you take a guy who wont help you until year 4. Take the risky bet on one of those two kids or trade it for help now.
What a joke. Still a great day with letang signed, but a big time draft pick or trade tonight could've solidified Hextall's standing here. |

Watching Owen Pickering’s videos he looks like a good pick. He steps right in the rush and is always giving a passing option around the net. Good size too. As someone mentioned, Pettersson 2.0 lol I’d say he has the atributes to become a Parayko moving forward. The kid has space to grow!

Talk to some flyers fans about that. They will tell you solid things about Hextall. He built them a solid team. Also talk to some LA King management about when they won the cup and they will tell you about how Hex has a good eye for players who will fit together on the ice from a Chemistry standpoint and that is hard to do.
Also so what if it takes him 4 years to develop into a solid player for us? I was the little Pens all the time and it's not like JRs picks are doing much for us. Plus I would rather have a few first round picks and build through free agency a bit to allow us to get a bit younger. Also when it's time for Sid and the guys to hang it up, we will be a piece or 2 away. Instead of a complete dumpster fire with nothing to build on. |
