UPDATED - Ottawa is talking to Vancouver about D Tyler Myers. He has a 10 team list as part of his NTC. Myers has 2 years left on his deal at 6M AAV. He's 32 years old and a RD. The Canucks are looking to shed dollars on their payroll for JT Miller. Ottawa would most likely have to include a 1st round pick in 2023 plus a defensive prospect I'm told. More to come.....

i would hate to see Connor Brown go. He is an honest 2 way hockey player. But if it returns a top 4 Dman, we need to be all in.

So, I thought that getting DiBrincat would significantly diminish any interest the Sens have in Giroux. Apparently not. Apparently, lots of commentators thinking this only increases the Sens interest in Giroux and makes it even more likely that Giroux would be looking to sign in Ottawa.

Thanks for the rumour updates, Kevin. I've maintained that if the Sens want a true top 4 D, that makes youngsters like Thomson, JBD, Branstrom expendable. I think I would pull the trigger on Chychrun. Dorion has been burned with unprotected picks before, but adding Chychrun would fill holes at two positions today that most expressed the team needed to address. The team would be better with a summer of more team adjustment possible.

I also don't hate Myers, for the right pice to acquire. Not my first choice, but hard not to upgrade on the defence after Chabot and Zub.

Wild that spatso and I have agreed so much today but I can't agree more. Sens need to go for it in the next few years. Smart trading and signings, while developing your already established roster pool is key.

I'm still a bit naive has for every good Dorion move, he tends to follow it with several bad ones.

by my calculations if OTT lands Chyrch, they will have roughly 5M to sign a 4th line, a 5 and 6th Dman and a back up G IF cap stays at 82.5M in 2023-2024 season
