I'm interested in seeing how Korczak does at development camp. For better or probably worse he was our top C prospect before this draft |

Maybe Rangers management is thinking that our Center chart will look like this:
1) Zibby
2) Chytil
3) Goodrow
4) Rydahl
They keep our powder dry until a team is desperate for one of our excess defensemen.
Something to consider... |

"Did you see my posts" from nearly one month ago?
That's when I initially mentioned two options for next season:
(1) (On 6/14/22 "Breakup Day For The Rangers" blog - pgs. 11 & 12):
The RFA eligible mid 20's age Eric Comrie being an affordable possible available backup to Igor in the $1M to $1.5M range, vs. Georgiev's $2.425M expiring.
Comrie posted a 2.58 GAA & .920 SV% in 19 games as Hellybuyck's backup this past season. Word had him wanting to depart due to the Jets having younger minor leaguers likely ready to look at initially in a backup role; with hope of one becoming a potential #1 starter. That, should Hellybuyck decide to depart as a UFA in two years.
(2) (On same above blog pg. 11; & the 6/12/22 "Rangers Eliminated" blog pg. 16):
Should Copp & Strome depart as UFA's, Vincent Trocheck being the best two-way center option to possibly become a UFA. I included his past reg. season two-way stats proving his worth, including also of importance, his 54.6% faceoffs success rate. - RangerSaver
We cant afford Trochek, its not even worth discussing. |

Kane with 50% retained for one season vs whatever trochek gets over many seasons |

Again, find me one trade that has ever happened where a team has retained over $5 million for an entire season. |

Then we won’t trade for him if that’s not on the table I’m sure |

I love talking about trade possibilities, but Kane might be the most unrealistic one I’ve ever heard. Watch, now we’ll trade for Kane with 50% retained 😂 |

My argument Chicago is in full rebuild mode. Kane is a UFA at the end of next season and controls his trade rights. If he tells Chicago he wants out and only to the rangers why wouldn’t Chicago eat half? It makes no sense for them to hold onto him and let him walk for free at the end of next season. Why there is a chance. But Kane has to say he only wants the rangers |

This Kaprizov thing is crazy. He might not be able to get back into the US to play anytime soon. |

1-3 will work, if Chytil picks up where he left off in playpffs. but putting a lot of faith in unproven NHLer for 4thine center. I'm thinkingalong those lines as well. If NYR plays well, then pick up center for playoff push. With that said...if Miller can be had for next years first rounder and another prospect, then do it..not for Kakko or Chytil though. If Chi retains half of Kane contract, and it doesn't cost Chytil or kakko, then that might work as well, but that means that kakko and/ or Laf are on third line, whichay ne best for them as well..especially on a Cup contending team.
Kreider. Zib Laf
Kane chytil panarin
Kakko. Goodrow Kravs
Motte Rooney. Blais or whatever at center with Reaves filling in
Or
Kreider. Zib. Kravs
Laf Miller. Panarin
Blais Chytil kakko
Motte Goodrow Reaves or ? |

It has its hurdles this trade without a doubt. I just think it’s fun to talk about. Everyone just always has a stick up thier ass around here to have fun with the idea ((ahem everyone))) |

I’ve been nuts with this this off season lol maybe it shows haha. But I honestly think the best course of action is to trade for Dylan Strome and, qualify him. Give him 3.6 for 2 years. Keep kakko and go from there.
Or
Kane would be a bold move by Drury. But the timing may be right for it. I think people are forgetting that. How long we waiting here? We just made the damn ECF. We’re good let’s get better mentality. If we have to sacrifice someone we have to do it. Kakko may be the perfect opportunity because Chicago needs a RW. Even with Kane they need a RW, apparently very thin there.
We’d be getting a 90 pt player at half the price |

Yup. Same with Miller..the thing is, like many have mentioned..Kane could maybe resign here if he took big discount...which is no guarantee..where as Miller is one season and bye bye |

If they could pull off Kane and Strome, that would be epic.
Kreider - Zib- Laf
Panarin - Strome - Kane
Blais - Chytil - Kravtsov
Motte - SOMEONE new - Goodrow
Reaves, Hunt etc
I’m ok with that lineup 🤷🏻♂️ |

Rangers can afford to pay him after this year tho that’s the thing. You telling me he’s turning down 3 x 6 mill from the Rangers? Cmon. He’s a 4 yr Ranger when he comes here. Whatever length Panarins contact is.
Showtime Bread is what the Rangers need. Bread needs a running mate. The two of them here would be absolute dynamite together 🧨the garden would be rockin’ |

I’m a good salesmen this year lol
I really think this would be the equivalent of getting Messier, the new Messiah if you will.
Showtime Bread at MSG…get ya god damn tickets before they’re like $2000 apiece
Showtime Bread is weak..we need something with more flash more spark!💥 |

I’m not opposed to D Strome. I think the price would be right in terms of what he would cost and his contract. |

Yea that’s a no brainer. Just qualify him. Boom he’s your 2C or 3C. Give him two years. Idk how those contacts work., the qualifying thing lol. I know we’d get him at 3.6 which is perfect for us
And during the conversation after that trade is complete..hey so this Patrick Kane guy.. lol |
