This is about where I’m at with the Kane talk. As much as I’d love him here I just don’t see how it works. Possibly a 3-4 year contract but I don’t see how he settles for anything less than $8M. And to your point, those dollars need to be going towards a center anyway. Probably a better chance of Toews coming over as 2/3C with Chicago retaining a ton to add pieces for their rebuild. - TC88
but for a 1 year rental- we would have as good a chance to win next year as any team.

I think Kane would love to play in NYC with Panarin and would do it for much much less than you guys are predicting. |

They just got a very underwhelming return for Debrincat. I don’t think it would cost much more than Kakko. Why wouldn’t they do that? He’s gone after the year anyway.
And your right..Chytil took a big step in the playoffs. He could explode with those two. - Slimtj100
with those two - you could even experiment with moving Laf in the middle.

You wanna get Panarin going? You go get Patty Kane.
No way in hell he gets that as UFA. Granted we make that deal, I’d think they’d discuss that part pretty extensively. And if it’s to much they don’t make the deal
He’s a better option than Miller imo - Slimtj100
Panarin is going, he just sucked cock in the Playoffs.
Letang just got a 6x6 yr deal at the age of 35. You dont think Kane, who is 33, who is still avg over a point per game wont get 8-9 a year???? Come on!! |

IMO- They will take the best offer and somebody will offer a lot more than Kakko. ESPECIALLY at 50% retained

it would be very surprising to me that Chicago gave up on Dach already but would want Kakko

I see your point but Patrick Kane is Hockey' equivalent to Michal Jordon (in Chicago)

I'm very confused by the value teams place on goalies. How did Georgi go for more |

We are not getting Kane!...... but if we did for a one year rental and all we had to do was give up Kakko- I would do it. Rangers would be a cup favorite - win when you can tomorrow might not come.

OMG!!!
Husso pretty much saved the Blues regular season when Binnington forgot how to play goalie. DET absolutely fleeced STL here.

Husso was actually a UFA, so they traded for his rights and signed him quick

Ville Husso's three-year deal with #redwings carries a $4.75M AAV.

Whew, now I dont agree with you. Getting Kane doesnt make a us a Cup favorite. Sorry. Our third line would be missing a piece and our 4th line just sucks. |

assuming this is our 4th line: motte-goodrow-blais, you think that sucks? Or is that not who you picture there? |

Husso wanted to come back to St. Louis but they too are in a cap crunch. Detroit now has Husso and Nedeljkovic between the pipes. |

Top 6 : Kane, Panarin Zib, Laf, Kreider, Chytil, (Kravtsov)
Btm 6: Goodrow, Hunt, Blais, Reaves and a pick up like (C White or Dylan Strome)
Blue line: Fox, Miller Trouba Lindy Schneider and whoever
Is this team perfect? Colorado won with JJ. This team IMO could do it - not a lock but I would like our chances
lLast years team plus Patrick Kane and Kravtsov Minus Strome Kakko and (Copp)

Gotta think they start to go for it pretty soon. Few good moves and they could be a playoff bubble team. Don’t think we’ll have 8 runaway playoff teams in the East again this season. |

One area they really need to address is finding a Josh Bailey and I have just the player that will fit that mold |
